FIrst of all, Overstock is great. Fan arrived quickly, so no problem with the seller. But this is the second Hunter fan we have recently bought and they are terrible to assemble. The hardware is there but it is all wrong and we are very good at doing any projects but these fans get a huge thumbs down. We would have sent it back, but what a pain in the butt, so after several hours way up on the ladder and lots of sweat and hunting for the correct hardware, we finally got it up. It is really big and nice, but I am telling you, DO NOT BUY a Hunter ceiling fan. There are so many other options out there.
You won't believe how much difference it makes, in air flow, with this larger fan. The amount of air it puts out far exceeds that of a slightly smaller fan, even a 60" fan. I'm a Floridian, with extremely hot weather, and this fan kicks it up like no other could hope to do. I have a large Greatroom with 9' ceilings, and it cools the entire space. Quiet, no wobbles, all the quality you would expect. This is a terrific value for a fan of this size, just price one at the local home improvement stores, if they even carry a fan this big! If you want a functional fan that you will actually use, not just something pretty to accent the decor, then don't hesitate. You will save a huge amount of money on cooling costs with this. I have a 60" in my bedroom, but I'm going to replace it with another of these. Turn it on, even on low, and you feel the temp. drop immediately, it's truly awesome!
