    • Efficient and handsome ceiling fan cf MinkeAir

      This was to replace a 20-year old ceiling fan in a low-ceilinged condo. I had to get a flush-mount but most of such models are too close to the ceiling to allow efficient air throughput. After some research, I originally purchased a Minke Air version that cost hundreds of dollars but is made out of solid metal; there is more of a separation from the ceiling allowing better aerodynamics. In addition, the use of three blades makes unbalancing less linkely and move air more efficiently (That's why aeolian or wind-generation "fans" use three blades). This Hunter copy was much cheaper and used less good materials but it worked.

      • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Identical - Mock wood on metal and plastic
      • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Fairly good. I also have the Minke Air model that inspired this copy from Hunter; this one is less solid but still good.
      • How accurate was the on site description of the product? Very fair

    • Awesome fan

      One of my most favorite features is that the fan is a flush mount. I have very small rooms, with low ceilings and searched to find a handsome, clean-lined fan (without flower glass, uplights, etc.). I bought 2 of them for my cabin a year ago, run them ALL DAY, EVERYDAY on low to keep the air moving while I am away. I just added a third suite and put one in there, once again. They look like a million bucks and are very quiet. The light is not the brightest, so if the primary function is you room is reading, whatever, you may want to choose a different model offering that feature. I would recommend these anyday! Good work Overstock!!!
