This elegant Hummel Heart and Soul Figurine depicts a young boy singing a heartfelt song. First released in the US market in 1996, it was modeled by master sculptor Helmut Fischer in 1988 with an incised 1989 copyright date. The piece bears the TM 7 trademark, First Issue 1996, and Goebel 125th Anniversary Backstamped. This piece was designed as a companion to Hummel 761 From the Heart as part of the Cozy Companions series.
This handcrafted Hummel figurine comes direct from the world's only authorized producer of Hummel designs. Every piece is back-stamped by Goebel and carries the M.I. Hummel signature.
M.I. Hummel products are the result of a successful partnership between W. Goebel Porzellanfabrik (German for porcelain factory) and the talented German artist, Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel. Her paintings of youthful innocence have been transformed by the master artists of the Goebel factory into three-dimensional works of art. Every new Hummel figurine is created using a painstaking process involving over 700 hand operations with many quality checkpoints.

These are probably the finest figurine made today. It is a no brainer to get it from the big O. One of the reasons that I purchase from Overstock is the price another is that if you watch you can sometimes get free shipping or low cost shipping. I trust Overstock to send me what I've ordered or make it good. I like using on-line business because I don't have to leave home to get what I need.
Bought it for my daughter in law who collects these and she loved it.
