Excellent addition to any decor
This ottoman is sturdy, well made, and very beautiful. This piece will bring the style of any room up a notch. The pictures online make the leather look almost a dark gray, but that is just the lighting. The leather is actually a dark brown, almost black. I would recommend this piece to anyone.

looks good but...
The ottoman looks good, and is not overpriced, but I would have to say itŋs not very durable. After a couple of months of barley using it (I live alone, and donŋt sit in that room much) the corner seems split, and the stuffing is showing, so now I have to re-stitch it the right way. Just what a bachelor likes to do in his free time. Imagine if I had kidsŋ

Excellent Purchase, very Pleased
I'd had my eye on this ottoman for a while and was encouraged by the reviews. So glad I bought it! There was a little snafu with the order itself and it didn't arrive as quickly as others seem to report, but everything worked out. The size is perfect for my smaller condo living room (32" square) as compared to the 40" round glass-top coffee table it replaced -- much more functional as well, because I can store magazines and "junk" on the shelf underneath, yet still have easy access (vs. storage ottomans that you would have to open and close to retrieve items). The top is indeed quality leather and looks awesome. I've already received great compliments on it and am very happy with it. As others reported, it arrived fully assembled and was easy to unpack. Only negative: There are some places on the legs where the finish was scratched off -- should be easy to cover up and I considered it the price of getting such a great deal. If you plan to use this in a large room, you might want to consider its size -- it's not huge, but that's why I bought it. I highly recommend this piece.

Hudson ottoman
Excellent value. Good quality leather with dark espresso colored wood base. This arrived fully assembled and on time. No damages noted. We have this in our great room with a fabric sectional. Works nicely with a tray on top for drinks or as a footrest.

Really Great Ottoman/Table
I was delighted to open the box and find a great ottoman that looked exactly like the photo. No assembly required. Very well wrapped and protected with bubble wrap and leg protectors inside sturdy box. The size was exactly what I was looking for and there were no blemishes. Sturdy yet comfy to sit on if that's desired. Replaced an ottoman that I paid much more for. This one looks higher-end than the price suggests. Could not be happier. If you are debating buying this ottoman, you won't be disappointed with it.

Love the shelf, love the leather
Great ottoman, love the shelf on the bottom. I do wish I had gotten something a bit bigger to go with my sectional, but this is terrific for the price.

Perfect fit for a small space
This ottoman is perfect for a small space and looks more expensive than it was due to the excellent quality and workmanship. I like the detailed stiching on the top which is not evident in the photos. The shelf on the bottom is deep enough for a thick stack of magazines, a throw, and a couple of stacked pillows. This was my first experience with Overstock.com and my expectations were exceeded!

Good value, some construction is poor
From a distance, it looks high-end, and the leather top also looks good up close. But the wood joinery is poor, with lots of small gaps and oozing glue. The finish seems to have been applied as one somewhat brittle coating (rather than a base stain and sealer) so if you scratch or chip it it goes right down to the bare wood, which shows very clearly on the dark surface. If you have a rambunctious family, or bang it with a vacuum a lot, you'll probably have a shabby-looking piece in a couple of years. I used a Minwax stain marker to touch up the poor joinery and a few scratches, which worked well and would help if it got banged up. Also, the tufting on the leather top is very deep, so stuff that falls in is kind of hard to clean out. Not a deal-breaker, but if your family is careless with the tortilla chips, you'll be digging them out with your fingernails! Overall, I think it's still a decent value for the price.
