Howard Brown Bi-cast Leather Large Round Ottoman

I rely heavily on reviews when buying larger items online and the reviews for this product are what told me to go ahead !! So many people thought it was great, it had to be , right ? We've had it for a month now and here are my thoughts. I'm not so sure. First, there is no assembly at all which is nice. It came nicely packaged ... just unwrap and it's ready to go. BUT I highly suggest you pay attention to the measurements and realize it's on the small side of the measurements. (actually slightly smaller). I was somewhat disappointed with the overall size of this peice. The leather seems of a nice quality (we got the brown and it is definately a dark dark brown closer to an espresso or black) and it does not scratch or puncture easily. It's padded well and comfortable to sit on. It's taken some abuse (my son uses it as a launch pad to jump onto the couch) and held up well so far. It's easy to wipe clean (my 3 year old has made it quite messy with juice / cookies/ etc. ). But I question in the long run if this will last. It's EXTREMELY lightweight. My aforementioned 3 year old son can flip it over and roll it around (I'd have prefered it to be heavier for that reason alone) and in being so light I question what the frame is like and how well that frame will hold up over time. For the price ? I think it's a little high for what this item is. I would expect to pay more like $175-$200 for a peice like this. Am I happy with it ? I debated returning it, honestly, but it was a "gift" for my husband and he liked it so we kept it. Would I buy it again at this price ? I'll let you know a year from now it if has held up ;)

We've had our new ottoman for a few weeks now and absolutely love it. It looks great--the color is darker and richer than the photo on the website--and it fits perfectly within our sectional couch. It is very well-made, and has already withstood lots of jumping from our 5 year old boy. You can't go wrong with this ottoman!

After getting the surprising news we were going to have a baby, my husband and I began getting our house toddler ready. Since we previously only had teenagers in the house, our cocktail table was made out of slate and iron, with sharp edges. We wanted something nice and elegant, but also soft, so that when the baby starts to pull up on things and bang her toys on it, we won't have to worry about her slipping and hurting herself. We had been looking for a round chocolate ottoman for approx. 8 months with no success, they were either too small, too big, too expensive or the wrong color. I remembered shopping with Overstock in the past and thought I would give them a try. I looked on the internet and saw this product and SCREAMED!!!! It was perfect. It was just what we were looking for, and the price for the product was FABULOUS. Great quality, workmanship, everything. We couldn't be more pleased with our purchase.

Light weight, well made, fully assembled, comfy. Good size.
