This is a beautiful piece of furniture...well worth the money. The only exception to this, is the color. It is not the same shade of brown as pictured...it is much darker,nearly black! I would have prefered the shade of brown that was pictured on the website, however the darker color is fine. It works as well with my decor as the lighter shade would have.

I rely heavily on reviews when buying larger items online and the reviews for this product are what told me to go ahead !! So many people thought it was great, it had to be , right ? We've had it for a month now and here are my thoughts. I'm not so sure. First, there is no assembly at all which is nice. It came nicely packaged ... just unwrap and it's ready to go. BUT I highly suggest you pay attention to the measurements and realize it's on the small side of the measurements. (actually slightly smaller). I was somewhat disappointed with the overall size of this peice. The leather seems of a nice quality (we got the brown and it is definately a dark dark brown closer to an espresso or black) and it does not scratch or puncture easily. It's padded well and comfortable to sit on. It's taken some abuse (my son uses it as a launch pad to jump onto the couch) and held up well so far. It's easy to wipe clean (my 3 year old has made it quite messy with juice / cookies/ etc. ). But I question in the long run if this will last. It's EXTREMELY lightweight. My aforementioned 3 year old son can flip it over and roll it around (I'd have prefered it to be heavier for that reason alone) and in being so light I question what the frame is like and how well that frame will hold up over time. For the price ? I think it's a little high for what this item is. I would expect to pay more like $175-$200 for a peice like this. Am I happy with it ? I debated returning it, honestly, but it was a "gift" for my husband and he liked it so we kept it. Would I buy it again at this price ? I'll let you know a year from now it if has held up ;)

We've had our new ottoman for a few weeks now and absolutely love it. It looks great--the color is darker and richer than the photo on the website--and it fits perfectly within our sectional couch. It is very well-made, and has already withstood lots of jumping from our 5 year old boy. You can't go wrong with this ottoman!

After getting the surprising news we were going to have a baby, my husband and I began getting our house toddler ready. Since we previously only had teenagers in the house, our cocktail table was made out of slate and iron, with sharp edges. We wanted something nice and elegant, but also soft, so that when the baby starts to pull up on things and bang her toys on it, we won't have to worry about her slipping and hurting herself. We had been looking for a round chocolate ottoman for approx. 8 months with no success, they were either too small, too big, too expensive or the wrong color. I remembered shopping with Overstock in the past and thought I would give them a try. I looked on the internet and saw this product and SCREAMED!!!! It was perfect. It was just what we were looking for, and the price for the product was FABULOUS. Great quality, workmanship, everything. We couldn't be more pleased with our purchase.

I had been looking for a Round ottoman for some time; I have bought several at local stores, but returned them because of the poor quality. This one is great, just want I wanted. Very nice dark brown leather, the stitching is perfect and matches my sofa. This is a great buy.

I love it! love it! love it! This ottoman is rich-looking. The smell of leather wafted through the living room the first night we had it. The color is definitely darker and more rich than what is pictured. Another reviewer had mentioned that and frankly, that is what sold me on it. I prefer the darker color. The size is perfect. Four small to medium sized people can sit on it for extra seating. The top of the ottoman is firm enough for a tray with drinks, thanks to the quality of the leather, but yet is soft enough to be comfortable to sit on. I wasn't sure, based on the picture, if there was a button in the middle -- there is not. The shape is interesting. Looks sort of like a double layer cake with the top layer being just a bit oversized. The ottoman is seamed on top and down the sides cutting it into fourths with stitching on top. Where the leather is folded, the color is just a shade lighter. Whether this is by design or is a byproduct of folding the leather, I don't know. It looks good. I would definately recommend this ottoman to anyone. Shipping was quick, too. I ordered on Friday and it was on my doorstep the following Wednesday.

Love the ottoman have had it a long time and looks just like new. We get lots of compliments on it.

I have had this ottoman for 3 years now and it looks as great as the day it arrived. It is very classy looking and I had received many compliments on it. It is in room that gets a lot of use and it shows no signs of wear and tear. Do not hesitate to buy this item, you won't be sorry.

This is a wonderful ottoman. It is durable, looks great after a period of use/abuse, doesn't bark your shins, and adaquately serves as a table, footstool, dining table, and extra seat.

the leather is soft and beautiful, the cording around the top cushion adds to the "finished" look. I ordered 2 in chocolate brown and they are excellent.

I was very pleasantly surprised at how beautiful and well constructed the Howard Brown Ottoman was.If they make chairs to match I would not hesitate to buy them. I would recommend this item to anyonewho is looking for a leather ottoman, u can not go wrong with this item no matter what ur taste is.

After searching high and low for a round leather ottoman that was under a certain diameter we kept coming back to this one online. We are extremely happy with it! It looks like other very expensive ones we looked at and so far it is holding up to my 14 month old's wear and tear. The only down side is that its slightly lower than we'd expected (although the reviews did warn us)...so we're looking into ways to raise it a little.

Our living room was short on seating and tall on toys. I saw this and bought it on a whim and it was a great decision. It's sturdy enough for two adults to sit on and holds tons of toys/books. Best of all it's design is contemporary and fits any style and budget.

I love this ottoman... I previously bought two black ones for my basement lounge area. This is a large round ottoman, hard to find in brown. The color is very dark brown, almost black, and goes well as a modern coffee table with my dark brown sofa and love seat (I put a square wooden tray on top to hold drinks and other items). This brand of ottomans has held up well to grade school kids jumping off of them and rolling them around. It's not a fancy ottoman, but it's sturdy. I've gotten lots of compliments on it.

I really loved the look of this ottoman. I was ready to buy it then, I did my reasearch on this Bi-cast leather after reading some of the reviews. In many countries they are not allowed to list it as leather. It is considered synthetic. That is why so many of the bi-cast leather ottomans look soooooo plastic in the pictures. Read about this material, it does not wear as well as leather and I will not be purchasing this item now. Thank you to whom ever wrote that review. I hope this helps someone too.
