This statue looks like wood. It's very heavy and I like the fact you can store another roll of tissue inside it. While I do think this is an expensive item I also feel it creates a fun and unique atmosphere and it's not something you will see in everyone elses bathroom. My whole family commented on it and loves how it looks. Colors are vivid and rich looking. Two thin magazines or one thick magazine fits in the dogs arm in back which is great and because it's so heavy and sturdy it doesn't wobble when you need to take tissue from it. It was delivered so fast I still can't believe it.
The butler is fantastic and worth the expense. It is heavy and has great detail. I wished that I had seen it earlier, I'm using it in our guest bath. Very pleased with the item based on what I paid for it.
