I'm a long-time shopper at Overstock, and I've always been very happy with the quality and value of the products I've purchased. Until now. I was so excited to find this hotel-style towel shelf at Overstock. I have spent many, many nights traveling for my job, and I always liked this type of towel shelf in hotels. Buyer beware: This is not the same product. First, the towel shelf was shipped without the hardware. I contacted Overstock customer service, and they were very sympathetic and got a set of hardware out to me right away. I do not fault Overstock with this problem, but the manufacturer. Second, the installation instructions are horrible. Third, the quality of the product is very poor. This towel shelf will not last. My husband has already promised me that he will repair the sheetrock when I ask him to take the towel shelf down. He knows that it will not last. It's so flimsy that I cannot even imagine hanging towels on it. I would be disappointed if I had paid $30 for this product; imagine how I feel after paying this price. I wish that I had thrown it in the trash and not put the huge holes in my wall. Do not buy this product. You will be very unhappy if you do.

This shelf was installed in our new master bathroom which has all satin nickel fixtures. We needed a shelf to store extra towels as our linen closet is not convenient. This works for us as long as we don't stack too many towels. It has a tendency to bend if you have more than two towels per shelf. However on the bottom shelf, I have 10-12 rolled up washcloths and they are fine. Contractor installed it and had no complaints. It looks great!

Bought this self a few years ago for the bathroom remodel. It looks great, was very easy to install, and provides much needed space for towels. I'm very happy with this purchase and highly recommend this shelf.

My towel shelf just arrived..... without instructions, but I used the comments by other reviewers as a guide. This allowed me to painlessly adjust the holes that attach the shelf set screws by loosening the bolt at the back, rotating the hole to the top, and retightening. It was a cinch! Next, I had to use needle nose pliers to scrape off protruding metal filings that kept one of the shelves from sliding easily onto the cylinders. Again, it took 10 minutes. As suggested, I made a template for my spouse to use to place extra support boards where the shelf will sit, (before putting up the cement board). He'll use it again for drilling the mounting holes into studs at the back of the tub. I can't wait to see how it looks when the room is completed! The 4 star rating reflects that neither proper screws for mounting to studs nor instructions were included. The shelf is very nice. Delivery was timely, and cost was reasonable.

Nicely made and looks good. My only complaint is the toggle bolts they use for the installation. Tigthening all 6 bolts and keeping tension so they don't turn while screwing them in is tricky. I would have rather seen them supply moly bolts. Would have made the installation much easier and quicker

I received my shelf in a timely manner. I read the directions thoroughly, gathered my tools, and proceeded to get super frustrated. The holes on the brass fitting don't line up to secure the towel racks. I have five children and can't put something up that may be dangerous to them. So now I am sitting here wondering if I should try to drill holes in the rack so I can achieve some support? Drilling the holes will mar the look of the shelves and I won't be able to return the product if I'm not happy with the level of safety. My alternate option is to take it down and return it. That sounds greats, but now I will have SIX 1/2 inch HOLES IN MY WALL. Buyer beware. You don't want to be in my situation.

I was very pleased with the hotel style towel shelf. I didn't think it was difficult at all to put up. I put it together and made a template so my husband would know where to drill the holes. I did have to use other screws because I didn't like the molly screws that came with it. As for the holes not lining up on the brass fittings, all you have to do is loosen the nut on the back of the brackets and line them up yourself. It is not difficult. It looks very nice in the bathroom and it won't rust. The only reason I gave it a four is because there were no directions with mine. However, it was fairly straight forward. It's a lot less expensive than other brass hotel shelves.

The pre-drilled holes on this product were not alligned. We had to completely drill new holes. It looks pretty good, but was VERY difficult to assemble.

This shelf was lighter than I thought it would be for the money. It's attractive, but required a lot of maneuvering to put together. . .it took me almost an hour, and then I realized I'd have to take it apart again to install it! Fortunately I had a contractor working on my bathroom and he installed it for me. This product came with long screws and molly bolts, assuming you'd want to attach it to drywall; however, if you want to attach it to a stud (which is more sturdy) you'll have to find some other type of screws.

This could have been nice. I received the item with a a brass fitting that was the wrong size, made it impossible to assemble. I called the manufacturer and they sent me a new one. This is a VERY difficult install. I have a ton of experience hanging fixtures, this was very challenging, and required modifying the pieces in my machine shop to get it to assemble properly. It's up now and looks good. But too much trouble.

The item was received promptly in good shape. The metal of frabrication was not as heavy as I expected for "Hotel Quality". The mounting system is secure but challenging to install.

This is exactly what I have been looking for. It is just like to ones in motels. Very well made. Will probably buy another on for inside the shower.

I'm not sure who to blame for the problems we encountered, but we did encounter some! When we received the shelves, (I ordered 2), the brackets with lugs were not the right ones for the shelves to fit over. None of them were even all the same. Each bracket was different. We had to conctact the company who made them(Allied Brass) and I sent them digital pictures to explain and then she was kind enough to send the correct replacements, but only sent enough for 1 shelf and then we had to wait to receive the others. Now that we have all the parts to install, we will install them today. Hope they are as nice as they look when we get them installed. Very disappointed that low quality merchandise was sold to us.

The quality and value were excellent but the price too high for the product. I haven't installed it yet but will at the end of March. The finish is beautiful satin-nickle and 3 towel- bars are perfect. The top shelf is for rolled face cloths and extra hand towels, while the other bars can be for wet or dry towels.

I bought this in the oiled bronze to match the other many items offered in this up to date finish. Worth the price as it is made extremely well. Properly anchored you could do chin ups on it. I can hang my over-size bath towels on it along with the rest of a matching set of towels.

This looks great out of the box. However, it would have taken some retro-fitting to hang it on the wall. The set screw holes on the shelf did not line up with the set screw holes in the brackets. Was disappointed.

We ordered this piece to go with our other oil rubbed bronze pieces. The color was great, the installation was easy. It is a great quality piece that was just what we wanted. Looks great in our bathroom.

I purchased this towel rack to hold and hang my spa towels. It is working out great and I anticipate many years of service because of its rugged construction. I just wish there were other sizes (widths) since I could use others around the house (bath, laundry, etc.).
