I purchased my Hoover Upright vacuum cleaner about a month ago. I have back issues, so I needed a vacuum that weighed less than my old one and one that did not require me to push and pull so much. This one fits the ticket! I love the feature that allows me to use it on carpet or on my hardwood floors. This model includes lights that indicate when additional vacuuming is required due to more dirt, etc. and another indicator when the bag needs to be changed. The vacuum has a strong suction, and the appropriate tools, so cleaning baseboards, stairs and those hard to reach places are a snap! I highly recommend this vacuum to you; I love it!

I went to a vacuum store and they wanted $219.00 for the same vacuum. This not only arrived a day early but was in excellent condition. The other reviewer is correct there is so much power and its lightweight.I would only suggest that Overstock put in the description that it does come with a bag, however, you will need to buy the Y bags for this vacuum. Great buy.

The vacuum cleaner works great. It picks up with no trouble and the suction is very powerful. It seems to automatically move itself forward. It works great on all types of carpet and converts easily to clean wood and/or ceramic floors. The only downfall is the fact that you have no where to hook the electrical cord while vacuuming and have to hold it in your hand, but this is really not an issue. I would definitely recommend this vacuum for the value.

I was tired of my bagless vacuum, a Eureka - it had started to lose it's suction and was not doing a good job anymore and I hated getting the dirt all over the place when I emptied it - so I decided to find a bagged vacuum that was inexpensive to replace it and bought this Hoover Wide Path. Well - the first time I used it, this vacuum just about dragged me through my house - it is self-propelled and has so such power that it cleaned my bare floors, carpet and rugs in no time at all. I have 3 cats ( help me!) and this machine picked up the cat hair on the floor like a dream and when I used it on the pillows that the kitties like to sleep on, with the attachments, the pillows look like new! I highly recommend this vacuum! Thanks Overstock!

I own 3 of these vacuums, and absolutely love them! This is the best vaccum I have ever owned, and I've paid hundreds more for vacuums which do not measure up to this one. I have a very large home, 3 kids, 2 very large dogs, and 4 cats, so I need a vacuum which has plenty of power and it easy to operate. I also have a central vac system, but I like my Hoover better! Only thing I wish Hoover would do is modify the vacuum so it will operate horizontally to be able to vacuum easily under furniture.

I have this vacuum cleaner for two months and used it for three times. It has good power and does a really nice job. This is my first vacuum cleaner and I am very satisfied with this product. Overstock always provides us good products. I am happy with it.

Works well but is really LOUD. Also, will need to see how durable it is -- plastic does seem a bit flimsy.However, overall good value

This vacuum was a good value. It was easy to assemble and has good power. Only time will tell how durable it will be.

I bought this vacuum for the upstairs. I didn't want to spend a fortune as it never gets that dirty up there. I was pleasantly surprised by the suction, it does a really nice job. It could use a longer cord though so will probably use an extension cord. Good value for the money.Andrea

Purchased my first Hoover upright 39 years ago and only had two in all those years. In looking for my new vaccum I researched a variety of models just to be sure I didn't miss anything. In the end I decided on the Hoover again. It isn't too heavy which was important to me (other vacuums and models were way to heavy); it is very easy to use; the suction is terriric and it does a good job on hardwood floors, although I actually have an Electrolux for that purpose. To top it off the price was so low I figured if I didn't like it I could send it back or give it to someone else. I give a thumbs up to this one.

I'm very pleased with the performance of the vacuum. I have pets so I have a lot of hair to pick up and it's doing a great job. It also is very easy to push. I am difinetly pleased.

This is an excellent vacuum cleaner, especially for the price. It has excellent suction power, and it really does a great job. It is also really easy to do the limited assembly required. The only downside is that the bag fills up relatively quickly and refills are not offered when you purchase the vacuum on O. Still, I just LOVE this vacuum cleaner.

What a fantastic deal this is! Hoover product, which is always terrific. Light weight, easy to maneuver, cinch to put together and does a great job!! I couldnt be more pleased with this purchase.

I had an old Hoover vacuum cleaner that lasted 20 years. When the switch finally died, I was in need of a new vacuum. I loved my Hoover upright and searched OS for a new one. I love this vacuum! It is powerful and self propelled. The attachments are an added bonus and really help out with hard to reach places. We have mostly hardwood floors, and this vacuum can be adjusted to be really effective on hard surfaces. Straight forward, basic, good vacuum cleaner!

I am very pleased with this purchase. I looked in several retail stores for an upright similar to this one and didn't find much. It is powerful, lightweight and attractive - but the best part of all is the reasonable price! Very good value.

I like this product because it is light, has great suction, and is inexpensive. I have a dog, live in a 2 story house. It works very well for me. I am not sure how durable it is, I have only had it for a few weeks. I like bag vacuums, easy to just toss the bag in the trash and get another one.

Consumer Reports was right and so were the reviews that I read before deciding which vacuum cleaner to buy. Don't let the price fool you; this is by far the best vacuum cleaner for the money, especially if you have both hard wood floors, carpet and pets. Not only do you get the Hoover name and value, but it's very lightweight and easy to use (the handle lowers all the way to the ground). I was particularly pleased at how well it suctions up pet hair. The cord could be longer, and the exterior seems a little cheapy, but otherwise, I would highly recommend this vacuum cleaner.

I bought this vacuum because I was sick of buying the bagless ones and having the filters clog on me all the time. I decided to go old school and get one with a bag and I love it. The suction on this vacuum is amazing and it is very easy to manuver. I would recommend this to anyone. Great vacuum for the price:)
