Spectacularly problematic
This vacuum never worked well for me. Eventually, I took it to a Hoover service center and was told that a part (the umbrella tube) was missing. After five weeks, Hoover had sent two assemblies, both without the umbrella tube. I retrieved the vacuum, bought an umbrella tube, installed it, and the vacuum still doesn't generate sufficient suction. It has been a complete failure, as has Hoover's service. I either have to replace it or hazard going months without a vacuum. Oh, and my wife contacted Hoover directly by email and never received a response.

great performance for the price
this is a good vacuum. Know that it does not include the attachment you typically use to vacuum the stairs. It's also quite bulky, but it's to be expected for a vacuum that performs well.
