Excellent little helper for hard floors; easy to use and clean up is a breeze. Brushes are easy to remove, unit pushes smoothly and has great bumpers so you don't damage cabinetry or furniture

I purchased the Hoover Floormate from Overstock.com not only because they offered one of the most competitive prices, but because of the 1$ shipping. My order arrived within a week, and I am extremely happy with my purchase. The Floormate works wonderfully on my laminate floors. It is also very easy to use. I recommend it to anyone who has a large area of hard flooring in their home. I have ordered from Overstock.com in the past, and have always been pleased with the products and service received.

This "refurbished" product arrived FILTHY, with the last owner's hair and dirt intertwined in the brushes and canisters. Returning would be such a hassle, so I kept it. I found it didn't spray the solution uniformly and left large streaks where it did get wet. Also, if you have a large area to clean it takes FOREVER, because of the small surface area it covers and the fact that you have to make 10 wet-then-dry passes for each space. The only good thing is the tricep workout you get from carring this heavy piece of junk around! Just stick with your mop and old english floor cleaner!

We did not notice this was a refurbished product, so the bargain was not much of a bargain.

it works just as you might expect. It is not industrial strength so don't expect it to strip the floors. It does what it says though. It needs attachments for vacuuming the floor first. To get into crevices and corners where those nasty crumbs can accumulate. On good quality linoleums it is excellent, like Monsanto floors. The old glossy finsh vinyls are so hard to clean but this machine was better than any mop on those type of floors.

I've had this for over a year and love it! It really scrubs smooth floor surfaces clean. The best part is you can vacume and scrub and dry the floor with the same machine. Make the floors "bare foot" comfortable. I just bought one for my 80 year old mother to use on her kitchen floor, and she loves it too...light weight and easy to use. The only draw-back would be on tiled or heavily textured flooring, it doesn't get into the cracks; but I called Hoover and they can sell you a different scrubbing head that does work on tiles. I haven't gotten one because I have smooth floors, works on wooden floor extremely well too.
