this steam vacuum works very good it cleaned the two area rugs that i have at the entrance of my garage i have people always coming through with dirty greasy shoes i just throw a couple of gallons of water and rug cleaner on the rugs and let the machine do its thing works great. any left over water i use my shop vac to handle the rest.

Excellent product. Easy to use. Light weight. Excellent for apartments. Easy to store. My bedroom carpets dried quickly.

The Hoover Quick and Light is an enormous waste of money. Although it costs less than other carpet cleaners, you will not get a bargain, as you will be out whatever you paid, plus the cost of a different, new cleaner. (By the way, with the narrow cleaning path and time spent trying to make the spots come up in your carpet, there is nothing "quick" about this so-called cleaner.) All I tried to clean was one room with basic grime from foot traffic, and in the hour-and-a-half I used the Quick and Light, the suction shut off no less than 45!!!! times. Any time I went over the edge of the carpet to clean at the border of a hard floor or different height of carpet, the slightest interruption of suction caused the blue float to pop up, thus shutting off the suction (ironically, this made it startlingly loud). Then I had to trun the machine off and wait for the blue float to settle in again before resuming "cleaning" the carpet. The same thing happened with my area rug. I, too, read the poor reviews on this product but thought, "I'll give it a try since it's a great price". Take it from me, you will be sorry if you buy the Hoover Quick and Light.
