Definitely works better than Swiffer!
I have tiled slate floors as well as laminate wood flooring and the water in the tank after I cleaned both was so dirty I was shocked. The slate floor is uneven and that is a bit of a challenge for the Floormate only because of the peaks and valleys. It cleared it all with no problem but did not clean the low areas if there was a particularly high area near it. I have a dog so there is hair and mud for the Floormate to tackle, and it does so without issue. I did have to assemble, de-assemble and reassemble it as I did not do it tightly enough the first time and that caused intermittent usage but that was all me (be sure to push the handle in as tightly as you can). Also it does leave dirty water on the floor when you turn it off. Not a lot but enough that you will have to use a rag or a couple of paper towels to clean it up. If I had the time, or when I have the time, I will clean the floor twice in a row and see how dirty the water is on the second wash. That will be the real test. However, I will not complain as the water I dumped out really was dirtier than I thought it would be. So it is cleaning better than I knew I needed if that makes sense. Overall, I love it and would buy it again. As it does not totally meet my need for thoroughly cleaning the textured slate (not sure anything could) as well as leaving behind some dirty water once turned off, I gave it four stars.

GREAT PRODUCT
AS AN OLDER PERSON LOOKING FOR AN EASIER SOLUTION TO FLOOR CLEANING. I HAVE A HOUSE FULL OF HARDWOOD FLOORS, TILE, AND LINOLEUM FLOORS. THIS APPLIANCE WAS GOD SENT. NO MORE ON MY KNEES AND GETS THE FLOORS EXTREMELY CLEAN WITH THE SCRUBBING BRUSHES. ALSO FLOORS DRY INSTANTLY. NO MORE SLOOPY WET FLOORS TO DRY. I AM EXTREMELY SATISFIED WITH THIS PRODUCT.

Makes cleaning fun!
This Hoover is brilliant! I can't believe how much yukky stuff it picked up off the floor. We recently purchased a house that pretty much has all-tile floors--white tile, to boot!--and I knew a mop wasn't gonna cut it. I tried this out for the first time and am very happy with the results! The dry vacuum has great suction for a hybrid machine such as this and I like how you can see the path of cleaning solution that it leaves behind in wash mode. Instructions were easy enough and all the compartments are self-explanatory and user friendly. There are just a few things I wish were different. First, the fresh water tank is kinda small and therefore needs to be refilled frequently. The cord could be longer. And it is kinda heavy to push... not bad, but you do have to put some muscle behind it. Takes a little experimenting to get used to doing the wash, but I found that pushing the unit in short strokes works much better than the longer ones you might use while vacuuming. Overall very satisfied with this purchase. Looking forward to fresh, clean floors in my house!

A God send
I was reluctant to buy this, but I was looking for any easier way to clean my floors. I have COPD and some days breathing in and of itself is a chore. I have a large home that is made up of hardwood and tile. Needless to say my floors were neglected because some days sweeping and mopping we phyiscally out of the question. This Floormate make cleaning the floors almost effortless. Turn the dial to vac-walk slowly...turn the dial to wash...walk slowly....turn to dry...you get the idea....It's a God send.

Great Floor Cleaner
I purchased this Floormate Floor Cleaner because my kitchen is the main entryway into my home and everyone was always tracking dirt in from the outside. I needed a cleaner that would do a great job and take some of the burden off of me. It works great and my floor is clean and dry almost instantly! I love it!

BURNED OUT AFTER 6 MONTHS :(
I am sorry to write this review and never write them when I first get anything. I LOVE this wet scrub/vacuum machine but it only worked for a few months then it burned out. Am getting it fixed - I would buy it again though; it kept my wood and tile floors SPOTLESS and soooo clean. Was effortless to clean with. Loved using it and looked forward to cleaning!

Best purchase in a long time.
I have all brick and tile floors in my home. Mopping was a dreaded task. This machine does a great job scrubbing and picking up the dirty water. The Hoover cleaner has a nice, fresh and clean odor. Really does the job. My only wish would to have larger solution and recovery tanks.
