    I bought this item about a month and a half ago, and I love it. It makes me nose feel much nicer to breath in moist air, instead of the usual dry winter air inside my apartment! I heat with all electric so it gets VERY dry in my place. This is a must for all 1 to 2 bedroom apartments as it works just fine, and also very quiet, I do not even hear it run....A must have item!

    This is a standard humidifier with a filter. It works well. It is a little loud on high, and seems best in a small room on medium. If you have a large area, look for a larger one. A typical bedroom is fine.

    By far the best humidifier I've used so far. This is not the ultrasonic ones (which I also have) and incudes an ultraviolet light to kill any germs in the water. You can use regular tap water and nothing gets wet or moist. You do not see any vapor it's just cool clean air. Goes through a gallon a day on the lowest setting.

    From the online reviews I read I had high hopes for this humidifier, but so far, it's just average. I've had it less than a week, but the tank is much smaller than I thought and so needs to be filled at least once a day on the lowest setting, and much more often if it's running on the higher setting. But the loud noise it makes on the highest setting means I won't run it on high often. And while the instructions tell you to not aim the mist at walls, furniture, curtains, you can't adjust the flow so the entire unit may have to be moved or turned. I have a smaller Homedics humidifier that I purchased last year and am using in another room, and I like it much more than this one - you can adjust the flow, the tank holds much more water, and it takes up much less space (and it cost less).

  • Purchased the HCM350 and was concerned what happens when tank runs out of water.I think unit keeps working and there is no warning light this concerns me. Can someone answer my concern?

    • Hello njgal, this unit does not have an auto shut-off function. It will continue to run, however, there will be no moisture put into the air through the wicking filter. Based on our research, this units has a run time of up to 24 hours per filling, so provided the unit should be filled daily to prevent the water from running out. The run time will vary based on speed setting, room size and humidify level. Have a great day!
