Did a lot of searching on the Internet for a good air purifier that wouldn't break the bank. This unit constantly received good ratings and compares well in performance to units costing two and three times as much. We have used it in our master bedroom and find it works well. The fan is a bit noisy, as other reviewers have noted, but we find it to be "white noise" that we have quickly grown accustomed to. We like the fact that the HEPA element can be cleaned, cutting down on the hidden cost of replacing them periodically.

It's louder than I expected, but that might be due to the acoustics of the area in which I put it. We use it in a half-basement in a townhouse that used to be a boarding house for recovering addicts. In other words, it kinda smelled like a hotel room after it became "non-smoking." There were some mold/mildew aromas going on, too. I'm not smelling any of that now, so it's doing exactly what I wanted when I chose to buy it. I wish it could cover a larger area, but it does seem to cover the area it purported to cover - so no complaints there.

I bought this air purifier for my work space. I work in a building that was built in the 60's and my workspace has this distict smell and there is alot of dust in the air. I have to wipe down my area at least every other day. I run the air pruifier 7/24 and have noticed a significant difference. The smell is pretty much gone and the dust has been reduced significantly. I haven't looked at the filter yet, but my guess is that there will be a lot of dust in there.

This air purifier was a great purchase. I had purchased othere products but they did not meet my expectations. My husband is a smoke and I have allergeries. This has been able solve most of the problems in the area that the product was placed.

Every thing was fine except too noisy, only low position of the switch generates allowable noise.

Bought to help me sleep better w/out all the AZ dust that creeps into ones house. Was too loud even on the low setting. Put it in the family room -still too loud but it does keep the dust down.The dust reduction factor was what made me decide to keep it.Have bought quite a few things from OverStock and have been pleased with the quality of the products.
