I already had this model in one room and had stockpiled several carbon pre-filters to fit it. I like the round models of air cleaners because of the 360-degree air intake. And I like that it has three speed settings. So I ordered this matching one. It works great and the price & shipping were excellent. Cheapest all-around price on the Internet. I've had various Honeywell round HEPA air cleaners and I like this model the best of all. I keep it on the lowest setting behind my recliner in the living room and I don't even notice the sound while it's doing its job.

We have had other Honeywell Air Purifiers before and they lasted for years. When one of ours broke we tried others and the were not loud enough. Strange but our kids sleep so well with one of these on, lots of white noise on high - and keeps their allergies in check all night. We take it whereever the kids will sleep.....friends houses, hotels, Nanas. Great product. Easy to change filter.

At low speed the purifier is fine but at the medium or high speed you can use it during the day but not at night, just way too noisy. Does a very good job at getting the smells of pets out of the air....

its awesome and the air is clean and crisp , its works well in my 740 sq feet condo , honeywell is the BEST!!!!!!

It has really helped take out the dust and allergies in our house. It is somewhat noisy, but not more than if you had a fan blowing in your room.

I did a lot of comparison shopping before I bought this unit, but only online. I know it is a powerful air cleaner and seems built well, but two things I really didn't have a sense of were the size of the unit and the sound it generates. Even on low, it is loud enough to be bothersome, and I'm someone who is used to sleeping with a fan. It's along the lines of the sound from a hotel air conditioning unit. It also is bigger than I imagined and would be difficult to use in a smaller bedroom because of the space demands (it needs space around it in addition to the space it takes up). Having said that, I do notice an improvement in the air quality in the room. I believe that it effectively moves the air through itself although I haven't changed the filter yet to see what has accumulated. Nice unit, but make sure you have the space for it and/or don't mind the sound.

Although this is the air purifier in one of the rooms in my asthma doctor's office, it's too noisy for the bedroom. I decided to pass it on to my son for his house as his son also has asthma. If you want a somewhat quiet purifier for your bedroom, be prepared to spend a few hundred dollars. This is good for the living room, or in an infant/small child's room (where the fan's noise is not an issue).

Good product for small rooms at a good price. Shipped with no problems. I would order again.

this is the second one I have owned.If you have allergies like I do you will finally get some sleep at night.I am very happy with this.

We had another Honeywell air purifier for 7 years - amazing durability for a product that ran 24/7. We purchased 2, one to replace the broken one upstairs and a second for downstairs. Very pleased with both. These are smaller, but are working so well we've even noticed a difference in air quality in our living room and it has 20 ft ceilings. Only drawback would be that they are noisy, but as we live near a busy road, the noise actually cancels out street sounds so we sleep better.

We needed a loud "white noise" air purifier for the kids bedrooms and this definitely fit the bill. Not quiet but that is not what we needed. Good price.
