    this unit is quite noisy, however, if you like "White Noise", this might help. I use it to simply provide moisture in my bedroom during the winter months. I have purchased expensive humidifiers that end up being worthless. So, the cost of this is more reasonable, but its reliability is questionable. I have had two - the first one lasted a couple of years. The most recent purchase, however, lasted less than 3 months. Pros - easy to refill - there is a hole in the top (next to the little vents) that wil allow you to pour the water in. provides an adequate amount of moisture into the air Cons - noisy - it actually rattles. short life span The concept of a room vaporizer such as this is economical, but maybe a different brand is the trick.   • Dependable and Inexpensive

    Too bad O doesn't carry this anymore. I love the unit I bought. Only con is remembering to fill the reservoir daily. It works, keeps the air in the house in the winter at around 60% humidity which is just enough to ward off the triscuit nose syndrome. :)

    I've had one of these before and my 3 year old broke it somehow. Not anxious to spend much on a better model, but needing a humidifier for 3 kids in winter, I ordered this. VERY glad I did. It arrived shortly before I needed it and we've used it almost every night for the past 2 weeks wtih one child or another. It makes such a difference between my children sleeping through their colds, flus, allergies, etc., and keeping me up all night! I can't say I would buy this if I had more to spend on it. It's noisy and the shape of the basin makes it inconvenient to fill, carry and empty (although my little one did manage to empty its predecessor onto the floor somehow). But when it comes down to it, how can I critcize this small investment that bought us all a good night sleep?
