I removed very nice shades for these,because they had string pulls that were always tangled and are dangerous to children. I had a shade from this company (and Overstock) on another window and we really liked it...so opted for these and two others in white. They are easy to hang and easy to put up and down. I do worry that they may not be durable, but they seem to be doing a great good. I would have liked a size 1 inch wider to cover better, but that wasn't available . All in all perfect for the windows and for the price.

Because this is so significantly different from the shades that just have down/up cords, I had to actually train myself to do it initially instead by merely adding pressure to go upward underneath it or pulling down, too, via the bottom portion with my hand/fingers @ the bottom of the shade! Thankfully it was a quick good learning for my new awesome shade! :*-)

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these shades! Have been ordering them for all my windows in my home unless I needed a very specific size and then sadly had to use another vendor. These shades work awesome! just enough light comes in to keep things bright and cheery but they give total privacy as well. They look very sophisticated in the windows, don't even need drapes. I pull these puppies up and down daily and they continue to work without any issues at all. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Wish they had more sizes available.
