I recently order, received, and assembled my file cainet. I must say the assemble was easy and fairly quick. I love the look of the cabinet and it fits in with the decor like a peice of furniture and not a metal standout. I have only one concern and that is I am having a hard time finding hanging files that work,. Also, not real sure about the caster for the bottom drawer. It hangs on the supports, so I left it off. However, over all I am very happy with my filing cabinet, so much so that I ordered another one.

I was tricked by the neat exterior. This thing was next to impossible to put together and now that it is assembled, the bottom drawer is impossible to open all the way. I have to have someone else come to look it over to make sure my friend assembled it correctly. I hope I will be able to use this soon, as if not, I will just have to spend more bucks for a file cabinet that actually works!

This cabinet is nice, but it's got nothing special to it. The main reason I purchased it was because of its dimensions, the locking top drawer, and the color. But don't expect to be wowed by this product.The assembly wasn't too hard, but I've been assembling furniture for a while. I did find the instructions very unclear... makes you wonder if the people writing them have ever tried to build the piece themselves with the instructions they give you.If you're looking for a simple cabinet file that's not metal, then this is fine. But if you're not good at assembling or are looking for an accent piece at the same time, buy something else.

... but the instructions were unclear in several of the steps and compared with other put-it-together pieces I've done, was much more of a headache than it was worth (value-wise and finished-product-wise). Instructions about how to take apart the metal runners were particularly tricky and required much playing around with the parts. The final product looks fine, but it's nothing special and I'm not sure it's better than springing for the more expensive, but hardier metal filing cabinets.

This is a reasonable price product and assembling is managable.
