I had a few issues with this ...
I did not want to spend very much money on a garbage can, so I chose one of the lower priced ones on Overstock. I have to say this garbage can was a huge disappointment. First, I don't know if it's the length or size of the cylinder's shape, but when you try to pull a bag out of the can, whether it's half full, or more, it created a suction and getting the bag out was difficult and almost always tore the bag so prepare to spend double on garbage bags. Also, the mechanism that opens the lid when you step on the foot pedal broke after only a week or two. I ended up ordering a slightly more expensive, rectangular shaped model and consider this a lesson learned. Sometimes when you order the cheapest item, you get what you pay for.
