Not enough information was given about the bird feeder. Most feeders have a lid that opens and you pour feed into the feeder. This feeder has a lid that is stationery and you fill the box with feed and then lift the box and hook it into the feeder lid. I am 74 and sometimes it's hard to life the box into the feeder top. it is also a little hard to put the feeder bottom into the lid hooks. I would not have bought this feeder if i had known these facts. Thank You, Johnny

This product was purchased for my parents in UPSTATE, NY, who have a beautiful outside patio with multiple bird feeders. There problem is Squirrels, they get into every bird feeder and eay all the food. BUT, not with this one. This is not only attractive but very effective. I highly recommend!!!

The squirrel proof feeder lives up to its name handsomely. The finches love it and aren't bothered by squirrels or bigger birds. It's performed so well, I had to order another.

I simply want to hang this thing on a branch, no pole, no tree mounting. Instructions make no sense whatsoever. I have not been able to figure out how to put this thing together and will take it to someone who can put stuff together without reading instructions. Worst instructions I've ever seen! Worst is that it appears the thing has to be dismantled every time you want to refill seeds.

Unless you have strong arms dont' consider buying this Bird feeder. It's very heavy when it's empty & worst when you fill it & then rehang it. It does keep out the squirrels & large birds out..

This is the best feeder I have purchased for keeping squirrels and large birds away from the food.

It works. We have plenty of squirrels and I haven't seen one hanging on the bird feeder. It may not be as elegant as some of the thin multi perch hangers but at least the squirrels aren't hanging from it either. I call it the Darth Vader Feeder. Took a couple of days for the birds to find or accept it. When they did..non-stop action. Worth the price.

Squirrels are sneeky characters and usually figure out a way to get in any bird feeder we've owned. This one is built differently, and so far - none can invade! They try, but then leave and clean up the ground instead. We are very satisfied with this feeder at this point.

This is our second Super Stop a Squirrel feeder and the first is 10 years old and in perfect condition - just wanted a second feeder. We've watched so many squirrels try to get to the seed unsuccessfully! One year one of them figured out how to push the plastic window up but the new one has a plastic screw to prevent that. We have everything from chickadees to woodpeckers and cardinals on this feeder. We mount it on a metal pole.

Bird feeder is as it appears online. The squirrels have been unsuccessful feeding from this. I'm happy with my purchase and it seems to be well made.

Really surprised but so far so good. No squirrels. Don't have to fill nearly as often since it is just birds that are eating. Yeah!!!!!

Our 2 other feeders were eaten by the squirrels. They can't eat this one but if it isn't hung properly, the squirrel can cut a foot or paw when trying to get the food. It is difficult to fill and re-connect once it is full. The birds love it as they get the food and the squirrels don't. We don't see much action so they must come at off hours. Like I said, it is 100% squirrel proof but I would feel awful is a paw was amputated by the sharp metal, sneaky as the squirrels are!

This really is squirrel proof...they tried and tried and fell off any way they tried....funny to watch them though. My son liked it so much I ordered another one for him for Christmas.

So far this is a great feeder. The price was almost half the price of a similar feeder found in the Bird Store, I visit. We find we are not filling all the time. It is an opportunity for the little birds to feed undisturbed. Now, let's see how well this feeder survives a New England winter.

I don't know which I like more...watching the wide variety of birds that flock to this feeder or the squirrel who tries (and fails!) to get at the seed. Economical--this was half the cost of similar squirrel-proof feeders I looked for.

Based on the reviews, we decided to try this feeder. It's perfect! Although the squirrels give it a valiant effort every single day, they cannot get in. The birds can and love it!
