We needed something to lean against, reading in bed. Having tried a microsuede fabric tufted headboard, and having soil issues with it, we decided to try this item in leather. It matched our furniture beautifully, and seemed solidly made. Arrived quickly and in excellent condition. We needed to revise the assembly procedure to fit our metal bed frame, but that was not difficult, just used the two small extension "L"s in a different position, and it worked fine with longer bolts. The issue with a lot of headboards is the torque exerted on the attachment point when leaning back against the headboard. We solved this by making a pair of blocks to attach further up behind the side framing (for closing the gap caused by baseboard), staining and then felting them to protect the wall behind the bed, and that turned out to be the perfect solution. Very impressed by the quality of this piece, but be aware it is VERY VERY heavy.
