This fryer is the perfect size and the perfect price. We've had ours for a few weeks now and we couldn't be happier. We're learning the ropes of deep fried foods and so far we've made deep fried raviolis, chicken fingers, mushrooms, dill pickle chips and Navajo fry bread. Next it's Oreos... then back to the salads ;) This is the beer batter we used with this deep fryer and it is ideal for a crispy fried texture that puffs up all nice and crispy: 1 cup all purpose flour 1/2 cup cornstarch 2 tsp baking powder 1 Tblsp salt 1 Tblsp pepper 2 Tblsp garlic powder 2 Tblsp your choice seasoning blend (I used salt free Mrs Dash) Mix these dry ingredients and then add a 12 oz can of beer. Mix until just combined, don't overmix or the batter won't puff up. Dip food (bite sized to snack sized pieces) in batter. Dredge in flour to remove excess moisture. Drop slowly into hot fryer oil being careful not to splatter. Also, if you do this slowly the food won't drop to the bottom and stick to the fryer basket- leave the basket in the deep fryer while heating. Fry until golden brown- time depends on size and type of food. Turn once or twice, remove with fryer basket onto paper towels. Salt and pepper food while piping hot. Let cool and enjoy! Anyhoo... this fryer is ideal for those quick, small batches and in our house of 2, it rules!

Must be the smallest lil thing on the market. No I would not buy this again nor recommend this to a friend. This may be good for your doll house or the seven dwarfs. The elements heat fairly but the unit is so small and so shallow I can't think of anything that you might want to use this for. My wife took the item out when we first purchased it and showed me ,we never used it after that.

I would recommend this fryer to Mom's and Dad's and anyone on the go. It cook's very well and the food coom's out great.

Used this product five times so far. Fast heat-up time. Very small oil bucket. Oil bucket not removeable. Could not deep fry anything very large.

The one comment about the plug coming off too easily is actully a necessary safety feature so that if someone snags the cord, the fryer will not pull over and spill hot oil out.

I have always wanted a deep fryer that is safe and easy to use, also small enough not to waste the oil. This deep fryer is such a bargain! It's small and compact for a small kitchen, and make good crispy food as easy as 123. Surprisingly, it does not need a lot of oil, but the food came out great. One other advantage is oil does not split all over the place. It has a nice little window where you can spot how your food cooked. The temperature setting is right in the front and make it easy to adjust to the temperature you need. It's handy little stuff that worth of purchase. Two things need to watch out is the plug and cleaning. The plug was separated from unit itself and it stays loose. Consistently the plug almost fall off from the unit and it can become very dangerous. The cleaning can also be a hassle since the inner container was attached to the unit itself that cannot be washed. Therefore, cleaning is tough with towel paper (no alcohol! read instructions) and try to wipe out all the grease. Dispute these minor facts, it is a good price deep fryer machine that can save hands from burning or waste too much oil after each frying process. The container can also use as a storage for use oil. It is suggested to remove the use oil after 20 times usage (I personally think to remove it after the oil change into a deeper color since it might cause cancer).
