I wanted the grommet style to hang in my kitchen - one window and also a sliding door. Used 3 for the 80" sliding door and one for the 40" window above the sink. They look great. I used 2 more in the larger dining room window. I don't have other coverings on the windows and door, as they face our open backyard. I ordered these based on other reviews which stated they were a heavy, sturdy material and I am completely happy with these. They look great. I ordered the pearl white. I would not have been happy with these if they were see-through/flimsy.

The MAIN reason I bought these was for the COLOR. Second reason was blackout feature and the thermal feature was an extra. Pros: (1) Color is a much prettier blue than most other blue curtains out there. This is good if you really like a true blue (rather than teal, aqua, etc) and you don't like navy, royal blue or blues that are pale and washed out. This blue has a contemporary, saturated color instead of generic, old-fashioned or ugly blues that seem to be the standard. (2) I like the style because the lack of rings or grommets means you can get the curtain close to the window/patio door and therefore block more light. I purchased a curtain rod that fits close to the patio door. (3) Machine washable (4) Nice fabric looks elegant, substantial and not cheap. Feels nice. I like the matching ties. Cons: (1) Not 100% blackout. They say it blocks "nearly all" - 99.9% but it doesn't seem to be quite that much. When the curtains are closed and the sun is shining outside, I can see some light coming through enough that I see the seems against the sun, and it's not like I hang the curtains taut. My sliding doors are approx. 95" wide and 80" high. I have 2 panels on each side. Fortunately it's enough block for me. You need poles that lie close your window/doors to help with light blockage. (2) I don't notice any thermal effect.

This Torchiere lamp is exactly like the one I remember seeing, In my cousins house, in the '80's next to her Nagel print. (IE: it's the one that's been around for years)... Anyways, I just moved into a "coastal" weather town, where the sunshine can be overcast by the oceans cloudy weather. This lamp is heavens cent for getting me the 'bright' light i sometimes require. The lamp comes with a metal grill on top, so as to help things, like a curtain, from falling into it. But, U really don't see the grill, nor does it interfere with the light. I miss having these bright lights around, since I can no longer buy high enough wattage(environmental/ energy law)... and need More lamps for heavily overcast beach times. With this one lamp, I was able to remove 3 lamps in an "open-concept" house. It also has a dimmer, so as to control exactly how much electricity you actually need to use.

I needed an update to the 80s style chandelier in my new home. The picture and reviews of this item seemed to be exactly what I was looking for to fill this space. I have a very high (18ft) ceiling and was afraid this wouldn't be long enough or big enough. I hung it to the length of the chain and the size of the globe is perfect! I didn't use the crystals that came with the light (not my style) but it still magnificent. I've had many compliments and it looks like I spent twice the price. Thanks for offering such a great product!

For me, this tree replaces an aggravating older-style artificial Christmas tree, one of those that had a 3 piece trunk, about 80 branches labeled with the alphabet, and still lost needles despite being artificial. This tree is just the opposite. It has very few pieces, beautiful fiber optic lights that shimmer and change in a rainbow of colors. It is tall, but not overpowering, and even has a fiber optic star on top!

I now have these blackout panels in 3 rooms. They keep the majority of light out and do help increase warmth or coolness in the rooms, depending on the season. I wash the panels every 3 months and they are wearing well after two+ years of use.

Beige was more of a gold. Returned them and bought in a different color. Only reason I gave it 3 stars, love the other colors I have bought, 3 in total.
Ikebana is a Japanese art form that creates serenely beautiful, yet deceptively simple, flower arrangements. It is a practice that is nearly 500 years old. Translated, it means "flowers kept alive," an apt phrase for flower arranging. The bouquets are stunning pieces of home decor . Yet ikebana is not just a way of arranging flowers; it's also a meditation practice. While there are many forms of ikebana, you need just a few tips to get started. Japanese Flower Arranging: Choose your vase. Containers are part of the arrangement and should be carefully considered. Read More
