It is so terribly made, it doesn't even try to be nice. Let's start with the best part, first. The firebox. Visually it makes an attractive approximation of a fire. It never looks real, but doesn't look cheesy. The compliments end there. The worst part is the wood mantle. It's so bad, I'll cover it at the end. That is, if you're still reading by then . . . Firebox: The fan/blower in the firebox sounds as though it is suspended on raw metal, as in no bearings. It makes disconcerting rattling and brushing noises. These noises don't resemble soothing in any way shape or form. They sound like the blower is about to fall out. You should hear nothing but the whooshing sound of air. The rattling is so loud, it actually drowns out any sound of moving air. Nowhere in the instructions or on the realflame.com website is there a rating for heat output or power consumption. I can tell you why. Had they supplied a rating, you wouldn't have bought it. It's that poor. Think of it this way: It runs on a standard 120V / 15A outlet. Using standard electrical resistance type elements, it will put out no more heat than a hair dryer, as a hair dryer maxes out the outlet. Just imagine heating a room with a hair dryer. Had they used something like ceramic heating elements or another technology, it might have been a reasonable amount of heat. Even compared to a hair dryer, this realflame heater can't keep up. Plan on standing right next to it, else you'll never know it's on. It's funny, too, because there are caution stickers all over it, warning of the heat. Really? If it ever got hot, the stickers would burn right on the metal casing. They don't. Nothing ever gets even hot enough to be uncomfortable to the touch. Sure, if you restricted the airflow it would be dangerous, but in normal use it's never more than warm. Wood mantel: The best thing I can say is about the color, and it's not good. It's far darker in person than in the picture. Know this up front. Pecan? Looks nothing like pecan. Their pecan finish is the color of dark mahogany. Therefore, I can't even imagine just how dark their dark mahogany is. The two corner vertical pieces of the mantel that look like nice heavy pieces of wood? They're an illusion. Rather than being the wood posts they try to visually evoke, each one only has two sides, and each side made of thin partial board bolted together at the front corner. Like an L-shape. The side pieces are so badly warped, that even using the supplied bolts and brackets, you can't get them to straighten out and line up with the front pieces. Therefore the corner has a gap where the two pieces meet, from top to bottom. Not attractive. Cabinet makers use cabinet-grade MDF (medium density fiberboard) on select panels because hardwood will bow, twist, warp, and expand/contract unevenly. So, certain pieces should be MDF with a veneer because MDF is prized for it's stability of shape. In a mantel, it should be all hard wood. This is not. This is 100% MDF with a veneer. The MDF used is such low grade, it twists, bows, and warps. That's right, the material known for it's flatness and stability has warped and twisted. And, far worse than any piece of hard wood would have. The fasteners (bolts and brackets) used to assemble the 11 pieces that make up the mantel are good. Yet, you can't screw bolts into MDF, they would instantly strip out. So, threaded metal inserts are pressed into the MDF for the bolts to screw into. The threaded inserts are so cheap, when you attempt to tighten the bolts, the threaded inserts just pull out of the MDF. All of the cosmetic pieces are bolted to each other, even if they're merely cosmetic. The only structural pieces in the entire mantel are the two vertical strips that the firebox bolts to. However, rather than bolt those two structural pieces to the rest of the MDF, they're nailed with the smallest brad nails I have ever seen. They must be about 24 gage, they only protrude about 1/4" into the next piece of wood, and there are hardly any of them used. It's a joke. The cosmetic pieces are bolted together while the structural pieces are poorly tacked in place. The top horizontal part of the mantel has trim all around it, secured with the same tiny brad nails. When I attempted to bolt the top onto the rest of the mantel, rather than close the gap between the two pieces, the brad nails gave way and the trim pieces fell off, leaving the top piece just sitting there with nothing to secure it. All of the through-bolts in the mantel, save two, go through 2 pieces of wood. Those other two go through 3 pieces of wood. Wouldn't you think they would provide two bolts longer than the rest? They didn't. No surprise, those last two bolts are too short. They can't even reach through far enough to get threaded into the threaded insert. Again, these two secure the top of the mantel. So, of the four bolts securing the top of the mantel, two are too short, and the other two screw into tacked on trim pieces that have broken free. Packaging and defects: At the factory one of the front pieces was damaged. It had to be at the factory because it was all sealed in thin foam wrapping paper that was undamaged. Yet, it passed inspection and was put into the package. Another piece was damaged during shipment, and NOT by the shipper. It was damaged because it was improperly packed. See, all the pieces are flat. They are laid in the box and separated by thin foam wrapping. They're all different lengths, as well. Yet, there are no foam inserts to accommodate the different lengths of the pieces. So, once packaged up and sent on it's way, the short pieces inside the box are free to slide around and smash into other pieces while in transit. I just can't comprehend how anything costing nearly $500 could be so poorly packaged. Even the cardboard was thin single layer. The firebox? It's package was double corrugated cardboard with thick foam supports. The firebox is metal. You would think realflame would have protected the delicate fragile wood as well or better, not less. If you want one of these, don't plan on using it as a heater. Just turn on the fake flame and appreciate the faux fire image. If you're going to do that, you can easily get a screen saver for your computer that does the same thing for a fraction of the cost.

The lamp is "as shown." The 3-way bulb allows for different levels of intensity. It adds plenty of reading light next to our bed. When turned on, the shade has a candle light look to it. It's not stark and doesn't contrast with the other neutral colors in our bedroom. The manufacturing is terrible. I ordered 2 lamps. 1 lamp was acceptable and so far I haven't received a decent replacement for the 2nd one yet. Be sure to inspect the item carefully. My fiance didn't notice there was an entire piece of mirrored glass missing from the bottom portion. There were also major imperfections (dents, scratches...), in the mirrored glass and even an ingrained thumb print. One of the lamp shades had a lot of glue and other imperfections. I decided to make the effort and continue seeking a replacement because I'm so happy with the touch of glamour they add to the room while maintaining a more masculine theme otherwise. As a light source, it is excellent. The design is also excellent if you're looking to glam things up a bit. It's a great lamp for the price if you can get one that's properly manufactured.

I have used slipcovers in the past, and these slipcovers are far superior to the old style ones that tie on the sides and come as one piece. My couches are slightly smaller than most (73 in), and I was concerned that the 96 in width would be too large. It took very little effort to adjust the material (by tucking in) to make it look virtually custom made. The best part of this set is the fact that it's 2 separate pieces, and I was able to snugly zip the 3 cushions from the couch into one single piece. The color looks slightly lighter than it did on my computer and it has a slightly blue-grey look to it, but they still look great in the room. A great way to change the entire look of the room on a budget!

I wanted a piece of wall art that was pretty and practical. Since my fiance did not want an actual wall clock, I thought this would be compromise. My initial set was missing the adhesive backing on the number 6. And then the arms on body of the clock was acting all slippy...at 12 o'clock, the arms would slip a little so that it was reading 12:03 or 11:03. We merely used 12, 3, 6 and 9 for a cleaner look. The clock feels a bit cheap as it is mostly plastic will a matte silver finish. The clock arms are bright chrome thin metal. Once up on the wall, I find it attractive and it functions well. It's not quite as abstract and modern as I wanted. The arms by themselves is not large enough to bring some oomph to the room. If I did it again, I would purchase the one with just tick marks for the hours instead of this one with all numerals. Since there was an issue with my clock, O.com customers support was wonderful, as they always are. They didn't have spare parts, so they sent me another clock with a UPS prepaid label to return. Luckily, they sent us the whole clock as the first clock body had slippy arms in addition to the missing 6 adhesive. It's adequate and I may learn to love it after awhile.

It just doesn't fit well even following the instructions. It also needs to be ironed but what a hassle that's going to be. It's two pieces. One piece fits over the couch the other fits over the seat cushions. The piece that fits over the seat cushions is way to big and my sofa is normal size (Flexsteel). I'm not sure I'm going to keep it on the couch. I was going for a XXXXXXX XXXX slipcover look. Not even close. On the upside, the piece seems to be pretty good quality. It's sewn well and the fabric is sturdy. I'm thinking about how I can alter it.

A beautiful sculptural piece to accent any decor. A few things to note, though: 1 - This lamp takes TWO bulbs, not one as indicated in the specs (I think this is the manufacturer's error, not overstock's - this lamp is listed on every other site I could find it on as taking only one bulb). Both sockets are situated parallel to the table/surface it is set on. 2 - The finish is a rich brown gloss *wood grain* rather than flat espresso brown as it appears in pictures. It seems to be wood grain plating, not solid wood. Still a quality finish, just not exactly what I expected. 3 - The lamp does not really "lean" as it would appear to in the picture. The base has a straight up-and-down edge at the back, the other side tapers toward the edge from the widest part, the base. It is more like a rectangular base sliced in half diagonally - not the "tilted leaning balance" it is pictured as. I can't figure out any angle that makes it appear to lean as it does in the picture. It's still a unique & interesting shaped lamp, but the 'slanted' base is not quite as striking as the "leaning balanced" tower pictured. The same image is used for this lamp across the internet, this does not seem to be something overstock did - more likely the manufacturer. 4 - There was minor wear & chips on the edges of the base when I received the lamp. Likely from handling by the manufacturer. Nothing so bad as to return it, but it could have been handled with more care considering the cost & level of quality associated with Nova Lighting. Overall I'm still pleased with it, but I would have preferred to see more accurate pictures before purchasing.

This rug looks like just a small piece cut out of a large rug because the design does not look like it fits the size of the rug. Also, the colors were very disappointing to me. It's always hard to judge color from a picture on a monitor, but every picture I saw of this rug, no matter what monitor I looked at it on, made the colors look dramatic and kind of bright. The colors are actually very dull, and one of the main colors looks like something you might find in a baby's diaper. Overall it is just very unappealing. I can't use it anywhere in my house. The rug IS thick and soft, and probably good quality materials, which is why I rated the quality as average. But UGGGGLLLY! I'm so glad I only bought the little one. I had planned to buy a runner if I liked the little one. I'm glad I didn't just buy the runner up front.

This is a very nice mat I bought the larger size 70*39. It looks amazing in our front door. Just one word of caution I Tried to move it when it was wet and it ripped at the edge where I was pulling. So don't move by pulling it you have to Roll it and move it as one piece because it is a large piece And the underside is rubber.

I am giving the light fixture high ratings even though I returned the light. I have a small powder room and the light was just TOO big for the area. The glass globes are gorgeous. Just let everyone know, the globes are not one solid piece, and they appear to be hand blown. The globes have slits on the sides/corners. But again they are gorgeous, just do not fit in my bathroom.

This is a gorgeous lamp and fits perfectly in my decor. It does have a couple of tiny imperfections in the ceramic part but I think that's part of its beauty. That being said, it works more as an art piece than as functional lighting. It says in the description and also on the lamp itself that it is a 3-way light. But it only works on one setting which is not really bright enough for where I need it. The only other issue I have with the lamp is the on/off switch. Since the shade is a narrow oval shape its sort of difficult to reach under the shade to turn the switch. I had been looking for the perfect accent lamp for a long time but wasn't finding just the right thing until I saw this one. So even with its limitations I will keep it because it is so beautiful.

Bought this rug to protect the hardwood by my kitchen sink, and I love it! It really brightens up that part of the room without being overbearing. It has 2 different shades of blue, 2 different shades of green - none of which are too saturated or neonish, but are still fresh and upbeat - and one thin stripe of "natural" color every so often. I bought this one to coordinate with a new green dhurrie rug under my kitchen table, and I actually like it better than the dhurrie. It's more attractive and lays better. Now I'm thinking about getting the matching 5x7 and kicking the dhurrie to the curb. I'm just not sure how this style rug would hold up with chair legs moving over it all the time. In addition to the green dhurrie, I have another small green rug in the kitchen, and the color variation in this rug allows it to coordinate with both greens while tying in blue accent pieces also. Wish they made this in more sizes, like a 6-7' square and a smaller doormat size. It has a backing that keeps it from bunching up, but I do have to reposition it occasionally as a whole. Great price and overall a great purchase.

I purchased 3 of these in polished nickel for my hall and installed them myself. They were a little tricky to install. First, trying to find the mounting screws through the insulation when you push it up to the ceiling was challenging. You have to basically push the insulation WAY back from around the holes so you can see the screws to mount it to the ceiling. Also the fixture is a little heavy to hold and my arms were getting really tired trying to find the holes for the first one. For the 2nd and 3rd light, I disconnected the shade from the mounting plate and it was much easier. Then when it was all finished I connected the shade back to the mounting plate. The second issue I had was that I couldn't get the first light to sit flush with the ceiling. I think this is because my junction box was an old weird design so the mounting screws were hitting a metal piece of the box. I tried to use shorter screws but the problem is that the insulation is so thick on the top plate that you can't find the screws easily when you try to see them through the holes on the plate if they're shorter. So you need the long screws to see them from underneath. So what I did is I pushed the plate up onto the long screws, then I pushed some rubber O-rings around the screws to act as washers. (I just made a slit on one side of the o-ring so it could slip them around the screw) and then I was able to screw them in as tight as possible and get it to sit flush. For the second and third light I figured out a much better and easier way: I just mounted the little cross bar on the junction box using washers to set it off from the box a little. This allowed me to have more room for screwing in the long screws for the fixture so I didn't need the rubber O-rings. Another issue I had was that one of the lights was missing one of the flexible plastic disks that sit above and below the diffuser. It's supposed to come with 2. This was problematic because these disks are made so that the holes in them are just the right size that when you push them onto the mounting rod they keep the diffuser in place. You can even adjust the angle of these disks to make the diffuser sit level. I used a large rubber o-ring in place of the top one (so it wouldn't be hitting a metal washer) and used the real one on the bottom. This is the reason I gave the quality only 4 stars. But really the lights are well-made. Once I was all finished I was so proud of myself! They look really beautiful!

I looked for months at rugs, for my grandaughters room. Purchased 3, returned 3. Untill I found this one ! The backround is more of a teal just a tad more muted in person than on line, (what I was hoping for}. Was origanally looking for lighter softer colors at first. This rug has bright bold colors. You know what they say "don't be afraid of color" So glad I took the leap ! This rug can go with so many color schemes. Quality is there. Soft for a toddler to play on. Almost wish I had got a larger size. This would be great for any lil girls room, and great for a teens room. Has alot of colors that are popular today. I think I'll get a solid color quilt, not to distract fron this piece of "art" on the floor. Pillows in colors I pull from the rug. There are a few colors of oranges, rust, coral, and pumpkin orange. A couple of yellows. A med. green. A beauitful dark lilac and just a bit of light lilac. A wonderful whimsacle rug. This ones a keeper !!

I bought this rug on sale with an additional discount used so a very good value. However, the rug I received was not as shown. This larger sheepskin is three smaller ones stitched together which I knew upon purchasing, the picture shows the smaller rugs alternate in placement to have a more irregular and natural looking border all the way around. Mine was stitched together in a manner that gave the rug 3 "humps" on one side and a straight edge on the other, just doesn't look right in the middle of the floor. This could have been a one time defect in manufacturing but I did not want to hassle with exchanging and receiving another with the same problem, so I just returned the rug. Also one portion of the rug was very yellow and thick and the other parts were more cream and fluffy, this made the pieced together look more obvious as well.

This is a really beautiful light, although the quality of the bead of lights around the permitter of the base is not the best, overall we like it. One of the crystal accents is shorter than it's supposed to be, so I'll call to have it replaced. I'm sure it won't be an issue. We've hung this fixture over our staircase so it's up pretty high and not in your face noticeable. It's a perfect location for this light. It was super easy to install the crystals. It's a little heavy, even though it's not a big piece, so hanging it took my husband and son about 30 minutes.

Light arrived less than a week after ordering. It's not assembled so you need to be prepared to attach the glass strands to the top of the fixture before wiring and bottom after wiring. The wiring instructions were not clear to a novice. The 800 number on the box was helpful explaining that you need to split the clear wire in two parts, which was not mentioned in the instructions. One of the glass pieces was cracked and would not hold the clip but the manufacturer sent a replacement within 2 days. I took away a star due to the instructions and small defect in 1 piece of glass. Light provides a nice ambiance and is relatively priced but there is assembly required.

This chandelier is the perfect size for my daughters bedroom. It sparkles like crazy and add just the right amount of glam! The crystals are glass not plastic as one previous review stated. We did have 1 piece cracked but they include spares so it was easily replaced. It was easily assembled. After looking at lighting places and the prices of the chandeliers that were there this seems like a great value!

Happy with the quality, design and color of these rods (got the brown ones). Only issue, the rod is in 3 pieces and making the curtains slide on the rod can be challenging. It's definitively not smooth. That works for me as my curtains are not intented to be opened and closed every day.

Two of the pieces had some of the leaves missing because whoever made it forgot. Again, and more importantly, whoever made these did NOT make sure that the perimeter border was perpendicular on one of the three sconces. This poses a huge problem since no matter how hard you try, it always looks crooked on the wall. I would stay away and find something of better quality!

I was so looking forward to these candles. When they arrived I put the batteries in and only one worked but didn't work with the remote control, the other two didn't work at all. I returned the candles to Overstock with no problems at all. What a company. I believe the problem is a manufacturing defect. With no problem of returning an item I will continue to purchase from Overstock.
