I was looking for an update to the very dated 90's (brass with white globes chandelier) in the breakfast room of our newly purchased house, and this did the trick. Since it was inexpensive, I was skeptical about the quality and didn't buy it at first, but kept coming back to it for four months. I am happy that I finally bought it because of how it looks, even though it is light weight, once hanging it looks more substantial than it is. It is a perfect size over our 54" square table, and I wouldn't recommend it for a grand dining room, based on its size. I was hoping that the shade remained solid looking when lit, as in the picture, but it is translucent. It arrived quickly, installed easily, has a few replacement "crystals," and looks nice. I have already received compliments on the chandelier. Overall, I think it is a great value at the price it is offered.

I fell in love with the style of this light - it is beautiful. But it was more money than I wanted to spend and I was concerned about it requiring 3 candelabra style bulbs - my husband preferred that I select fixtures with basic style bulbs. So I looked and looked for something else for my master bedroom, but couldn't find anything that I liked the style as much - And I needed to select something so we could finish our home and move in. (we were doing a rebuild after a house fire). I kept coming back to this one and so despite the price tag I ordered it. My husband installed it and I put the crystals on it. The light comes with white gloves for installing the crystals - I struggled to install them with the gloves on, they made the crystals slippery, so I used my bare hands. The light is beautiful on the ceiling. I do have a complaint though. When you need the light on to light up the room it is very dim, not enough light to read in bed. I am disappointed that I paid so much for a light that isn't bright enough to be the main light in a room - It is an accent light. Overall: Pros: Beautiful light with an antique style. Very good quality crystals Cons: Very expensive - but all crystorama brand are more pricey. Not bright enough to be the main light source in a room. If I ever find something that I like that provides more light, I will be replacing it. I couldn't return it because it was 2 months after it was installed that we moved into our home and lived with it to discover the issues we have with it. If I had a do over, I wouldn't buy it. If they ever make it to take a standard bulbs so it would provide more light. Then the style and function would mesh better.

I love polished brass. It is not easy to find right now. I needed a vanity light and could not find any I liked but I loved the look of these these kercheif lights. I decided to put in a soffit over the sink and put 3 of these in a row. I ordered 3, they came and were all different heights. Overstocks customer service was very good. After a bit of frustration and receiving 8 different lights I managed to get 3 straight ones of the same height, they looks awesome!

I read all the reviews before deciding to buy this as a lower cost option then what the *** version I really wanted. I had high expectations based on what everyone was saying about this. Wow, no, no, no....are you people serious? All I can think is that they other people are not true *** buyers and therefore don't have the expectations on quality?? First of all this is more brass to me then black or brown, read the color and don't go by the picture. Yes it has brown swirled in it but brass is not what I wanted even a touch of in my *** look a like expectations. The quality is lower then what I could've bought at H*** for*** and I paid ***! I order 3 look a like *** items, only received this one so far. I've already loaded it back in the box to be sent back tomorrow and ordered the *** lights for twice as much. This did nothing more then make me realize spending more is worth the expense to have what you want. Sorry, to anyone who is buying this who truly loves *** products, buy the *** version...save the hassle or returning that I now have to do.

I am only the second review on this site. Just have to say you get what you pay for, and there are similar items out there that might be better-made for the price. Buy that one instead. You'll be glad you spent a little more. (1) You really should put the glass in before you hang it. There are metal tabs that need bent around the panes of glass, and they are not all welded on quite right. We sort of shimmed the panes with felt tabs to help hold them in place. I can't imagine how hard it was to add them after the fixture was hung! (2) It WILL take 2 people to hang it, and one should be good at electrical. We propped it on the top of a ladder which allowed us to attach the wiring without having to support the weight of the fixture ourselves. Then one of the bulb fixtures had no juice and the electrical guy was able to figure out how to poke at things and fix it. (3) You'd think 4 edison bulbs were bright, but it's a remarkably low-wattage fixture. Expect to need other lighting in the room. (4) Ours did not hang level and required a gerry-rigged ring to hitch up one side and test with a level. (5) One of the 4 bulb holders was a bit bent out of the box and eventually chipped. Black electrical tape was an adequate fix. Why are these parts always plastic? (6) We chose the darker finish which was quite ugly in person. Remember in the 70's when brass things were streaked with black to make them look "antique?" OK-- a can of good spray paint in any finish you like (before you add the glass!) is also a good fix. We went with a hammered taupy metal and let some of the under color show. Now that it's up, it's not going anywhere! But I'm not going to buy mechanical things from Overstock; I'm 2 for 2 on things not quite working right. I will say that Overstock is good to work with if you change your mind or something comes in damaged. So if you get this thing and you just don't like it, they'll show you some love.

I love this lamp and am so glad I bought two. Very sturdy with a nice tan lamp shade. The color of the brass has a green tint to it rather than silver. I gave 4 stars b/c the quality is great, but when you put the 3 pieces of the base together about a millimeter where the top 2 of the pieces meet is gold on one side, not the brass color. It almost looks like the finish was mistakenly wiped off in the manufacturing process b/c only 1 lamp has it. It is on one side and very minimal so we just put it facing the wall and you can't tell vs returning for another one. I don't think anyone would even notice, I'm just particular.

I bought 3 of these in a 3 month period. First one was not assemled- It came with stacks of brass arms to put together on top of the crystal balls u need to attach to a flismy metal tear drop holder & count the small glass strands out & asseble. On top of that the base was smaller from the second one (later orederd!).The seoncd one was damaged in shipping, the replacement was fully assemeled, less the glass balls. LOOKED FINE!! BUT once electrican was putting up, one arm had a defective metal hook (to hang the flismpy tear drop metal that holds the glass ball)- THANK GOD FOR OVERSTOCK!!! THEY RE-shipped it again!!! waiting for my 2nd re-ship.I have 3/4 up & It looks great, no clue how to clean it! nor what to do when the flismy clips tarnish- I suggest u get it in chrome so u can not see the tarnish with age. Price was great. Wise shopper in NJ

I bought two of these to replace the old brass chandelier that was in our dining room. I agree with some that the fabric is somewhat translucent when the lights are on, but for the price, you can't beat it. I love how they look in our dining room.

These are nice-looking screens, but they are not balanced properly at all and they lean backward no matter how you position them. I am returning them because they look ridiculous. Also, the hinges are brass, and they really stand out.

From the picture, we thought the frame was dark silver but it's actually black with some antique brass trims. The shade is much more yellow than we expected. Since it didn't match the other light we bought from them, we had to return it and shop for another one now.

This product took about two weeks to arrive which is much longer than my past orders from Overstock. It arrived in good condition except for a couple of scratches in the paper that coats the base of the fixture which can be seen when the light is on. The fixture replaced an old brass chandelier in my dining room. Assembly and installation was simple. It gave my dining room an instant much needed face lift. Overall it was a good buy.

Buying this rug to me is similar to buying a dog online. Well, itís the same pup though :). Itís not like the time I paid a chunk of money for a Ďmicro teacup Malteseí and ended up with a big, ivory, mix bred poodle looking thing, ha ha .. But whoever took the pictures of this rug and I are probably related. We know how to use the right lighting for our pups and make them look good. Well, a little bit of photoshop would help :) To the people like my younger sister who prefers bronze chandeliers with brown glass shades, earth tone walls, black and white pictures with dark frames, this rug is not bad. To the people like me, who prefers to keep it a bit more cheerful, and like to have shiny brass fixtures, bright crystal chandeliers, light color walls, antique gold frames here and there, then this rug is a bit dull. I read other peopleís comments about its colors and I thought: Iím not exactly looking for a too bright color anyway, like something close to a primary red, so how bad can it be? Ö I should have listened. The burgundy color is prettie darn dull itself and the gold color is actually something brown. And the rug lacks the shine, and it ends up looking like something has been around the house for a long while. With the dark hardwood floor and dimmed light setting, it doesnít look too bad. In brighter setting, it looks Ďusedí. Itís not Overstockís fault. They have the same pictures everywhere else. And I found Overstock has the lowest price. The rug is actually thick. But I also find it similar to my 2.5 lb Chihuahua: Donít rub it and you donít know it sheds; Rub it and youíd better take out the vacuum machine. I was planning to get another one of the same kind to place in the dining area but I now decide not to. I might use the ones I just bought to death or just put them in the basement and get different ones. Itís a done deal to me and Iím not planning to return them because I donít want to lose money in shipping them back. I paid $*** totally for a 5' x 8' and a 3' x 5' and considering they are woold rugs, so I guess I paid for what I got.

Easy to assemble, good looking shape and finish, great value, bought a second set as I was so impressed. Only reservation is the 3 way lightbulb setting doesn't seem to work as I can only get one light setting but not an issue for me. Also, required a bit of a hunt in a hardware store for the correct bulbs.

The alabaster stone chandelier is a very attractive piece that fits both in a traditional and modern style home. The brass rods holding the shade are not a shiny brass but rather a more rustic brown color, which I actually prefer to the brass look. Overall, excellent quality and beautifully made.

O.K. everyone. I had just completed a whole house renovation. The last step was to purchase and put in place exquisite lighting fixtures throughout many differently decorated rooms. Our taste is Crystal and a lot of glitzy BLING. I needed to complete my bedroom lighting requirements looking for an ART DECO PERIOD type of wall sconce with crystal. After feverishly looking all over the web and wholesale lighting distributors here in NYC, I landed upon this Crystorama Majestic Historic Brass 2-Light Wall Sconce on numerous websites. Overstock's price was indeed the best, but failed to tell you that these wall sconces are ALSO AVAILABLE with three (3) different quality levels of crystals. The one depicted on the website are just run-of-the -mill machine made crystals with AVERAGE LIGHT REFRACTION. (You can spend up to $600 + on Swarovski or Strauss crystals as an option for these Sconces.) Now be prepared to do some work in these babies. Each large crystal pendant and crystal strand MUST BE APPLIED BY HAND! This involves hooking & threading soft, pliable little wires through microscopic holes. The instructions/directions don't help very much. If you manipulate these wires too much they will BREAK! Take your time and make sure YOU DON'T MISS ANY HOLES.OTHERWISE YOU HAVE TO START ALL OVER AGAIN. INSTALL THE LIGHT BULBS FIRST & TEST YOUR CONNECTIONS! They require CANDELABRA LIGHT BULBS 40 WATT MAX. I highly recommend the GE TRUE LIGHT Bulbs. They have a slight BLUE TINT to them, but they will put out True Clean Correct Light maximizing the Refraction the crystals will give off in the room. ( Little rainbows and shadows on the walls) Last, put these units on a dimmer system!!! They look beautiful when dimmed to a warm lower setting. I use these as Background/Mood lighting & looks fabulous!! ( I used a Levitton Remote Controlled Dimmer........great toy!) You will be surprised with a little ingenuity how you can MAX OUT the potential of these Sconces.............! Hope this will help anyone seriously looking to purchase these items.
