Factory provided installation information is incomplete and incorrect. When technical services was contacted, new wiring information was provided. This required a complete rewiring of the unit, cost both shop time and materials as the original installation wiring had to be scrapped. This manufacturer has been in business for many years, should have better control of written instructions packaged with the units. Additionally, when the discrepancy in information was pointed out the manufacturer chose to hide behind "We only warranty our products against defects in materials and workmanship." This is a weak and inadequate position that damages the manufacturer's reputation as a quality supplier. I will be happy to recommend NODO products when the manufacturer gets its act together, provides accurate information packaged with their units. Until that happens I will use a competitor's products.
Wish I can offer a more comprehensive review, but didn't install this because it requires you to wire in the alternator. I wanted an isolator with a switching diode that only requires a primary battery tap to the aux. greatly simplifying the connections without rerouting integral wiring harnesses. But it appears solidly made with more than adequate heat sink for heavy use. I went with a porduct from SurePower that is far more easier to use.
I installed this thing on my 08 450 Yamaha Rhino. Couldn't figure out exactly how to wire it so I called tech support. The guy did a lovely job helping me get this thing hooked up correctly and even followed up the next day. It has been rode through the rigorous trails and really put to the tests. I would recommend anything this company makes. For the price, you're not gonna beat it anywhere!
