Yes I should have known better. But I let the reviews I viewed online make me believe in the impossible. I knew I was in for a disappointment when I open the box. And disappointed I was. The fabric quality is awful! All components scream cheap and plastic. Laying or sitting on the comforter is like laying or sitting on a plastic tarp. Unfortunately it's not worth returning (as it will run upwards of $40 to ship). A lesson learned, one person's garbage is another's luxury.
The comforter is very nice. full, light weight, colors match the picture. The only issue is the it is a bit slippery for the matching pillows. The pillows tend to slide if you use them.
I actually bought the duvet cover in this same fabric and I absolutely LOVE it!! It looks so much better in person-the colors are great and the intricate shades are hard to see on the picture. The quality was better than I expected. It looks expensive but it wasn't. I am extremely pleased.
