my husband is a hunter so we needed something to grind up some of the meet, we looked at cabelas and ot her places and than i looked up overstock and found this little machine. it works great, a bit noisy, the actual facial of the machine looks like stainless but its not, its grey. but over all, great product, easy to clean, easy to set up! grind on!!

easy to clean, not bulky, good speed, used it for few pounds of meat every time, can't complain at all. will never buy ground meat again, at least this way i know what's in it.

I ordered this grinder soon after hearing about ground beef additives ("pink slime") in the media. Another factor in my decision to buy was the difficulty I have had in finding ground lamb in the supermarket. I read the enclosed instruction booklet, a must, before doing anything. I also ordered, and used sparingly, food grade silicone spray as the instructions specified. Before grinding, I cut stew grade beef and a boneless leg of lamb into into 1" cubes. I ground each meat separately, going from a coarse grind to a medium grind as the instructions suggest. The grinder worked very well with no jams. The only difficulty I had was keeping up with it! I could see a dramatic difference in my home ground meats vs what I have bought in the store--much less fat. We had hamburgers made with the beef and they were very good. I am very happy with my purchase. However, only time will tell how it will hold up in the future.

I find it disgusting that "our" Government non-elected officials are dictating what I can or can not purchase at the Super Market Butcher Counter. I wish to purchase and eat meats that are not processed- and contaminated by what ever the FDA deems acceptable for consumption. I want to order and eat ground beef that I know contains just RED MEAT and not the waste by-products. My local MAJOR CHAIN SUPER MARKET is not allowed to "grind" and if fact no longer has its own meat grinder, so what they have to sell is an unknown product. Thank you for this machine with it I can enjoy a hamburger, even one ground from Top Sirloin if I want.

Overstock's price was unbeatable and with free shipping I felt like I was getting a good bargain. I received the meat grinder earlier than promised. It is very good quality and comes with a stainless steel blade, although I don't recall that ever being mentioned in the product description. With all of the talk about "Pink Slime", I knew that we had to start grinding our own beef, no matter how "safe" or "dangerous" the substance might be, we'd rather know exactly what is going into our ground beef. We've used it several times already and it truly is very easy and quick for standard beef grinding. We've had no problems with jamming or anything else so far. We clean and dry the product right away, by hand, and plan on doing so going forward. We highly recommend this grinder for anyone interested in controlling what goes into your ground beef.

My husband is a deer hunter and we purchased this to process our own meat. We weren't sure how powerful it was going to be until we tried it out. Its a BEAST! Very good quality and it zipped through 150 pounds of meat in no time. We highly recommend this product.

I love chicken salad and beef salad for sandwiches or for a salad bowl with other things in it... this is a big machine, not size wise, but strenght.. it whipped thro the meat I had in no time... ground to just the right texture..

Works OK but the quality of some of the stressed parts could have been better. Recommend for light intermittent duty only.

Have used it twice in the first month to grind beef into burgers. Works really well and quickly, though I have only done a couple pounds at a time. I don't see why I wouldn't take care of deer or anything else you threw at it, seems to have enough power to get the job done. Cleaning is very easy, as is the reassembly of the grinder mechanism. I wanted a small and affordable grinder that wasn't hand powdered to basically make ground beef for burgers and other things. This machine, the size of a coffee maker, gets the job done without any problems. So far I am very pleased with it and will try sausages later on, as it has the attachments for them in the future.

I used this grinder to grind one deer and one elk this season. It's great, handled them with ease! I only wish I would have bought it sooner. Great grinder for the money!

After spending money on smaller grinders and being dissapointed I took the chance and bought this one. It has plenty of power and does a great job. Well worth the money.

I don't know why the description states both 600 and 575 watts, but it is 575watts. I guess you just have to read through the description so that you are not surprised. We just got the grinder on Tuesday and have already made our first batch of sausage today (Wednesday). The grinder did the job - very satisfied. My husband and I have been hand stuffing, so there was a little bit of a learning curve as far as using the electric stuffer attachment. I'm sure we will get the hang of it over time - The product works just as it should. Happy we bought it because we will definately save on grinding our own meat. Thanks O.co.

the unit performed extremely well. i was surprised at how well the little unit ground up the meat.

This grinder does exactly what I need. After harvesting and processing 4 deer and 2 antelope this year, it just wont quit. I made sausage and burger, which both got rave reviews from my friends. I recommend this to anyone looking for a simple and easy to use appliance for that time of the year when it is needed.

I love this grinder! I have done pork and beef, it never tangled, jammed or needed reverse once. Follow directions, trim your meat, especially the tendons and cut into chunks that will fit down the tube, use the plunger and grind away. I use the largest hole first then switch to the finest grind and it is perfect! It is a lot of grinder for the price, stores nicely, cord goes up inside and the extra blades, stuffing tubes go into the plunger for storage, cleans easy, not to loud...I think it is just about perfect! One other reviewer noted it was green plastic on front, mine is all metal, just like the picture....Love it!

Although I haven't used this grinder yet, I am disappointed that it is not as advertised on the site and the picture is decieving. First the wattage is listed as 600 and it is really 575 even on the package. Second the picture on this site shows what appears to be a steel front when in fact it is a verrry ugly green plastic. I am hoping that it works well and since it is a Weston it should but if not I will let you know.
