Bed frame looks great
Overstock made it easy to purchase this product. The communication after I purchased the bed frame was wonderful. They keeped me up to date with shipping tracking and a guarantee it would arrive.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? The color matched the pictures. Matched my bedroom furniture almost exact.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. The frame is sturdy, drawers work well. The head frame has a solid outside frame, and the inside panels are thin compressed wood.
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? The description matched the actual product.

Very nice looking
This bed was easy to assemble. The drawers are good quality with dovetails. We noticed our mattress seemed to sag in the middle, so we cut plywood slats and screwed them to the frame under the mattress. This completely corrected our problem and made the frame much more rigid. I shopped locally and couldn't find anything as nice as this bed and the ones locally cost twice as much. I am very happy with this furniture. One thing, if you use the drawers at the head of the bed, a nightstand will interfere. We have installed wall-mounted nightstands.

Hawthorne king sized wood bed
I was very pleased with the quality , the real wood, & most importantly, the amount of storage afforded by the drawers underneath . The drawers glide very well as we were hoping they would & the bed went together very easily. We were also very pleased with the quality of the finishes, especially the knobs on the drawers. The plates for the knobs gave it that extra special touch!

I would not buy this again.
I would not recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a really good quality product. For this much money, I expected it to be mostly solid wood, which it is not. Also, the color is very dark, much darker than the photo. Pretty deceiving, and very hard to return now.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Actual product is MUCH darker. More like a cappucinno color.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Not impressed, parts of it are real wood but the majority of it is thin compressed wood. The drawers work alright.
