Disappointed. When it arrived, one of the wooden supports under the table had come loose and the screw actually splintered the wood a bit. I fixed that. But, the table wasn't nearly as attractive in person as the photo looked. I think it looks cheap. I expected a black table to show dust, but this also shows fingerprints A LOT. I wouldn't purchase it if I had it to do over.

I ordered this table to replace a smaller black table that I had also purchased from Overstock. The leather parsons chairs I have and also bought from overstock, fit perfectly around this table. For the price you cannot beat it! There is a flaw on the table top. There is a screw coming through the top of the table which is noticeable. I will just live with it. I do keep a tablecloth on the table so that does cover up the flaw. I would recommend this table for anyone looking for an inexpensive dining table.

This table was a great purchase. It's a good size for four people (you could maybe squeeze six, but you wouldn't have much arm room!). Both the types of chairs I bought fit perfectly under. It seems to be good quality and was easy to assemble. A word of warning: it comes in a 5 ft x 4 ft (ish) box, and it weighs about 80 pounds. You'll want some help getting it moved inside!

Large black table made of solid wood. Exactly as it says. Simple, clean design. Heavy. Good quality.

Table arrived damaged. It must have been damaged before it left the warehouse. Looked like the box was previously opened. We sent it back.

Love the table! It was easy to put together. Looks beautiful, good quality for the price. Couldn't be any happier.

Despite a few bad reviews, I took a chance and ordered this very sturdy and lovely table. It was exactly as described, arrived in perfect condition in a little more than a week from when I ordered it. Easy to assemble, came with everything you need to put it together and was assembled in 15 minutes. The top of it does mark with fingerprints easily, but a simple wipe down will take them off.

I bought this table as a simple stop-gap during a comprehensive home renovation, and to replace a folding card table for daily meal use. If I wasn't already planning to throw this table out or re-sell it on craigslist for a massive loss, I would send it back. Expectations were low, and they were barely met... The table is black, not "espresso" dark brown. No part of the table is solid wood, except the legs. The top and aprons are MDF. The finish is satin. Not glossy and not totally flat. There are runs to the finish on the underside and on the apron bottoms. Clearly it was sprayed on, and with little care. Inh short, I paid $$$ for a temporary table for family of four, and I'm OK with that. If I had plans for using it longer than 2-3 months I would definitely purchase a different table. I expect it won't hold up against my two young kids and daily use for very long.

Beautiful table but has zero shine to it. Leaves fingerprints and smudges that are nearly impossible to wipe off. Other than that truly is a great looking table.

As another reviewer mentioned, the table top is not solid wood. It's made of compressed fiberboard, and although it's very sturdy, it definitely doesn't look like real wood. The photo makes it appear as though it has a nice glossy finish, but that is not the case. It has a matte finish, almost as if it were spray painted. It's also hard to clean. Once you wipe it with a damp cloth, you have to immediately dry it with a towel to avoid streaks and water marks. The legs are solid wood, but when my dog licked one of them, that was enough to strip the finish off the edge. Overall I am regretting my purchase, but I'm pretty picky. This would be a fine table for someone starting out in their first apartment.

I ordered several items from overstock.com, and was impressed by the fast delivery, accuracy of descriptions, and quality of products. This one however did not live up to the usual standards of this site. The table was really dark -- black rather than espresso. The top looked cheap with visible lines of brushwork. it was chipped, so there was this white spot on the pitch black surface. The top also has two panels underneath, one of which was not fixed in place. Two of the screws from the loose panel were missing, and the other two that were in place were absolutely useless, as the screw holes were too large. I returned the item, and waiting for a refund.

I purchased this table because I needed a certain size top to fit a marble tabletop I already had..When the table arrived (and it arrived very promptly) it was way more beautiful than I expected. The design is very simple and elegant and the finish is very rich looking. The table is very well constructed and the measurement was precise--my tabletop fit perfectly!! As usual...Overstock has done it again.

I originally ordered two of these tables and one came damaged from the manufacturer (severe crack down base of table). I emailed Overstock and received a reply from them within 24 hours. They sent a replacement table at no charge and we received it within about two weeks. We are still waiting for a delivery guy to inspect the broken table and confirm the manufacturer's defect. The table is very nice, professional looking and great deal for the price.

The table is a great purchase, it looks awesome in our eat-in kitchen. We did purchase the table in hopes that we could fit 6 chairs, and you can, its just a little snug, but thats my own fault because measurements were on the website, I just guessed. But it is beautiful, easy to clean, and looks expensive.
