We wanted this buffet last year but it was a high sell out risk and by the time we were ready to purchase, it was sold out! I waited a year searching all over for this buffet. One day I ordered what I thought was a close replica of this and it turned out to be a lowboy! I got a refund and resigned myself with the fact that I would not get the Hartford. The day after my refund was processed I get an email from Overstock telling me that Hartford was back in stock! I ordered the same day...and for $60 less than the price was last year !!!It was a beast to put together...well not really but you have to be careful. We missed a piece and did not realize until we assembled the whole unit...needless to say, we did not undo it ...it's the long wooden bar that goes at the bottom and doesn't take away from overall beauty.No one leaves our home without commenting on this piece! Well worth the year-long wait.

This is a gorgeous piece of furniture, it is heavy and solid. It took us about 7 hours to put together, we did not use our power drill as that would have stripped the screws. If we had a drill with adjustable speeds then it probably would have taken an hours off the time to put it together.The doors might not fit properly at first but he hinges allow adjustments to be made by using the 2 inners screws on each hinge. We are not using this as a buffet but as an entertainment center for our 52" LCD and it works great for that, we drilled a couple holes in the back panel for the cords.One word of warning though the finish can scratch a little easy so be careful when putting it together, we took care but still ended up with a scratch on one door.Overall you cannot find anything this nice anywhere at the price offered.

This buffet is very well made and finished. It is a challenge to put together but not as bad as some have described. I was able to get it up in 3 hours with some help from my wife. The doors aligned properly and drawers fit properly. Looks nice and much more expensive than we paid for.

The Buffet is quite nice when assembled, but getting there is not an easy path. The instructions appear to be translated from Chinese by a computer, making it difficult to understand what is required. One problem area is hanging the doors, but the most challenging is placing the slide rails for the three bottom drawers. I still do not have mine on properly, after hours of trying different options. Note: the screws for assembly look similar but vary in length by small amounts. Be certain to use the proper screw in the correct location, as you may find that using a slightly larger screw in an improper location will cause the wood to bulge or split. My suggestion is to pay more for a fully assembled unit so as to avoid having to spend 10-20 hours putting this thing together, and not getting it right in the end.

I bought this buffet on 3/1/09, and it was delivered on 3/6/09! We assembled it that same night.There were two of us working on it, and were able to complete it in 2.5 hours. the directions were very simple to understand, and there were ample spare pieces. There were no broken pieces, and the 3 boxes arrived from Salt Lake City to Atlanta in tact.I love this buffet! It fits perfectly in my dining room. My table and chairs have a slightly more redish hue, but the piece still fits in vvery well!The center door is not even as the others are, so I may tweak it some more, but I don't fault the manufacturer, but perhaps my haste to finish the install.All in all, This was a great buy. I didn't realize how deep the shelves were, you can fit two plates in it.

We bought this buffet to use in our den to hold games and puzzles. It looks wonderful, and the storage space it provides is amazing! We looked everywhere to find a buffet that had both shelves and drawers. So pleased with this one - terrific buy!

We've been looking around for a buffet and this by far has the best value for the price. The boxes arrived within 5 days and it did take me quite some time to put it together. The overall quality is good and the final assembled product did not disappoint. It added instant character to our dining room. I would highly recommend this product. As other people have mentioned, it is a little bit challenging to get the doors aligned properly. Mine did not align as perfectly as i'd like but no one will notice.

This buffet is extremely nice. Good quality and value. It was not easy to assemble but the overall look and quality greatly out weight that! The cabinets are spacious and the drawers are nice addition to hold linens. We used the double side for china and the single side for a bar and the over all look is extremely nice.

We received our buffet within 5 days and it arrived in 3 boxes. My husband is very handy and can build anything. He put the buffet together while I was out shopping and evidently it was a little more difficult than he expected, but the overall result was very rewarding. The buffet is beautiful and our family and friends were very impressed. I have been looking for a "long" time and I am thrilled - it looks perfect in our dining room. I have recommended Overstock.com to everyone. Thank you

I just love this piece! Everytime I pass my dining room I can't help but admire it. The only trouble I had was getting the draws to fit. I had to eventually call my handyman and he was able to get them to fit flush and roll in and out.

This piece is very elegant looking and well constructed. It is very difficult to put together, so really pay attention to the instructions. Also, really tighten down the bolts for the drawers, otherwise they tend to loosen up and are difficult to open. The glass doors are expensive looking. Everything was very well packed. This made a wonderful addition to my dining room and is a nice mix with Mission or Craftsman style furniture!

We are thrilled with the apearance and workmanship of the buffet. Assembly was delayed because of a flaw in the top of the buffet, but in typical Overstock . com fashion you folks got the new part sent right away. We would have appreciated getting it sooner, rather than coming UPS ground, but that wasn't your call. When it did arrive, my husband completed the assembly fairly easily. The instructions assumed a bit more experience with this type of assembly than some folks have. Specific screws need to be used for certain sides of the hinges - this was not mentioned in the instructions. European hinges can be tough to adjust if you are new to it. It might have been wise to include the specific hex driver that was needed for assembly with the product. Frustrated assemblers are more prone to mistakes and getting miffed. The design includes ample support for the wide shelves which will be able to hold heavy platters, etc. without causing the shelf to bow. We are quite happy with our purchase.

I ordered this on a Sunday and received it on Thursday of that same week! I was expecting it to be difficult to assemble, but really it was quite easy (although time consuming). It is a very heavy, solid wood piece of furniture and looks very expensive. I love it and everyone who sees it is impressed. I shopped locally at many furniture stores and this piece was by far better quality and price than I found anywhere!

I was a little concerned when I received the order confirmation that it was coming in 3 packages and the weight ! Oh well ,We decided we would judge when we complete the assembly ! Is all we can say is WOW ,great piece of furniture that is worth every penny. Yes it was a lot of work to assemble 3 hours ,but time well spent and the finished product looks great. Recommend an electric screw driver ,otherwise you will have a sore hand. Buy it ....You will not be dissapointed.

This is a quality piece of furniture. Very solid, and heavy! The grain of the wood is beautiful and a rich dark color. While the instructions are excellent, and all pieces are clearly labeled, be prepared to put some hours into the assembly - but it is definately worth the effort. We are thrilled with this purchase and it looks beautiful in our Dining room.

I LOVE IT!!!! It wasn't easy to put it together, but it was worth it. It really looks better than a picture. And it's not small - it is much bigger than I thought it's gonna be(that's a good thing). Did I say I love it??
