Just used the WOCA system to stain and seal hardwood floors; needed a buffer that I could handle and this one worked great! Would recommend to anyone!

i used the solution up quickly that came with..then switched to vineagar and water w a touch of simple green instead... the brushes spin and clean...and the suction does a great job..then you empty the dirty water...i have lots of stone flooring so its worth it to get it out and use it..if you have just a small area i think a mop is easier...

I just recently moved into a condo of my own and put laminate flooring throughout - who knew the nastiness that carpeting was hiding?? I now have to sweep on a daily basis or I have cat hair, dust, dirt, etc floating all over the place! And all THAT is normally hidden in carpeting?? YUCK! Anyway, in a quest to find a way to make the floor nice and clean, I was steered towards this Hoover and I sure am glad I found it! I found the vacuum part to work very well on the various small items on the floor. The mop part is AWESOME and boy did it make that water dirty. I didn't really have to do the "dry" because the suction of the mop pretty much left the floor dry :) I could actually FEEL the difference when I was finished and it didn't take all that much longer than regular vacuuming used to take :)

Overall, I am very pleased with the Hoover Floormate. I like it a lot better than mopping! Use on ceramic tile floors in kitchen/breakfast/laundry areas and did a good job. Did not get floor "dry", but got 95% water up from floor and the water was definitely "dirty". Will use a lot!

I always thought my tile floors were clean until I ordered the floormate from Hoover. I couldn't believe the filth . I have only used it three times and I'm finally getting to see grey water instead of black...even the grout is back to it's original color. I would totally recomend this product. Boynton Beach Fl

We have used other hard floor cleaners, but this one is the best we've found. It really does a good job for us. We have tile floors throughout our home. They are very hard to keep clean as they have a texture to them that picks up and shows dirt so easy and are very hard to clean. We have dogs, so they contribute to the dirt on the floors. Using the Floormate has solved our problems. The floors look really nice and clean, including the grout, when we are finished. It is also very easy to use, so we can use it often. That is a big plus for us.

I feel better knowing that dirty water never touches the floor again. It did take a little bit to get used, as with anything new, but it really does a great job.

Bought the Hoover Floormate because friends with similar white tile flooring said it helped keep the grout white, whereas steamers just re-deposit grime that the steam picks up. The Floormate is very easy to use, and all the parts fit together intuitively. The reservoir for the cleaning solution is large enough to thoroughly clean my hall and kitchen and bathroom. It stores in my closet, just like an upright vacuum cleaner.

does a great job and is small and compact, easy to use. But since it is small it takes a while to shine an older floor.

With tile floors in my kitchen, cleaning the hard floors has been a task in which I need to be on hands and knees to get at the gout lines. Using the Floormate, it does clean quite well and I was suprised on just how dirty the floor actually was. I've been using Pinesol, Simple Green and the suppy of Hoover floor cleaner that came with the unit. All seen to work satisfactorily.

I used an earlier model of this product for about six or seven years. When I saw that this model has brushes instead of the old squeegee, I decided to try it out. This model has much better "fit and finish" than the old model. The tanks come out and go back in very quickly and easily. The old one was always a struggle. The new one has settings for vacuum, wash, and dry. My only complaint is that the function switch is a little mushy. To be sure it's on the wash setting, I had to check to see if the brushes were spinning. If you can see the green outline of the brushes, you need to adjust the setting until the brushes are clearly spinning. My machine came with a packet of scrubber wipes for the grout, and I tried using them without a lot of success. They are hard to use, and I would recommend rubber gloves to protect your fingernails. If you've never used one of these machines, I would say to give one a try. It makes the cleanup process much more pleasant and efficient. We have cats, and I used the vacuum on the kitchen floor before I did the "wash cycle," and I should have emptied out the bottom reservoir before I did that, because when I emptied it, there was a lot of hair for it to work through. It's also important to clean the hair out of the scrubber brushes each time you use it. This was an easy process, and it didn't require any disassembly aftter one use. I imagine, though, from past experience, that the day will come when I have to take apart the bottom assembly for cleaning. I have always bought commercial floor cleaners by the gallon (from Home Depot or Lowe's) for my machine, and I will likely continue to do so. You just have to read the label to make sure that the ingredients are about the same. All in all, this is a big improvement over past models.

I want to buy this for everyone I know great easy to use and easy to clean. I only wish they sold a tray, that you could place it on when done, small puddles of dirty water are there every time you leave it in one spot for any amount of time

This is the second Hoover Floormate hard floor cleaner that I have purchased. The first one was a refurbished one. I love it and my housekeeper does also. My housekeeper was off for 6 months. I hate to clean the tile floors. So, I purchased a refurbished "floormate" while she was out. This floor cleaner vacuums, washes and take up the water. You get all that with one round of cleaning the floor! It works great and my tile floors look and are clean when you are finished. This cleaner was recommended by a "How to lay tile floors" book. I do not think that I can ever go back to the old "mop" again!

Seriously. My floors have never been cleaner. I have all wood floors on the first level of my home - and a kitten who sheds a lot. I buy the ******** dry and wet cloths to use with it. Of course it gets stuck on wires - it's a robot. If you were swiffering yourself - YOU'D GET STUCK ON WIRES! Anything that drags on the floor will if there are, in fact, wires resting on the floor. Luckily, there's an easy solution - take care of your wires! Don't blame it on the robot. I did just that (I have three lamps on a sofa table, so I taped the wires to the back of the cabinet. Now the Braava goes right under the couch. Let's face it - you probably almost never clean under your couch, because that would involve getting down to some crazy angle or moving the couch, neither of which is fun. Who wants to waste time cleaning floors anyway? That's why Braava is amazing. Charges quickly. Battery lasts forever. We do two dry mop cycles and then two wet mop cycles and it typically is almost dead by the end. Just pop on a cloth, set it down, place the cube somewhere pointing into the room and press the button. Braava takes off working hard while you go make yourself a martini. When she's done, she'll play a little tune and head back to where she started. Can't recommend enough.

I thought about purchasing the Hoover "Floormate" cleaner for over a year. I was unsure as to its quality and worried that my very old hardwood floors might get damaged by it. I finally bit the bullet and ordered it, and now I wish I'd done this LONG before. I have been THRILLED with how easy the Floormate is to use and how incredibly well it cleans my floors. Honestly, the gritty junk left in the dirty water receptacle is mortifying! I have two indoor cats so I tend to use a different vacuum cleaner before I start to clean with the Floormate. (So I can't really speak to the vacuum part of this product.) If you're looking for a super quick clean, this product might not be for you. It does take a while to mop and then "dry" (I think that it just sucks up the extra water....which is only a tiny, tiny amount), but to me it is SOOOO worth it.

I love this machine, my tile and hardwood floors are just wonderful after useing this machine. I would recommend this to anyone as it is light weight and very easy to use. I have recommended this to other friends and will continue to do so. The price was great, and the delivery was speedy, so if you have dirty floors (and believe me you will find that you do) this is just what you need. A mop just pushes the dirty water around but this scrubs and sucks up the water (boy was it dirty).

This is my second purchase of a Hoover Floormate. I used the first one for many years. This hard floor cleaner does a great job of cleaning all my tile floors. Easy to operate and empty. A must have for my home.

This floor cleaner is a great improvement over the original one that I purchased a number of years ago. My original floor cleaner, from the same company, was not as wide. Half of the front rubber strip broke off from use over the years. It became dry and brittle. This new model is wider and it's easier to remove the tank and replace the brush assembly when you want to clean it, than the old model. The folding handle is a nice storage plus. I think it does a better job than the original. A must have for kitchens with pets! It really scrubs those stains.

Florida living usually means going barefoot. It's easy to know when my tile floors need cleaning - the bottoms of my feet get dirty indoors! I had an older, smaller Floormate for years and was pleased w/ it. When it died, I was happy to find another at a reasonable price. The new one is a bit larger, the brushes are stiffer and stronger and the pickup power super! I'm very happy w/ the new Floormate and highly recommend it. The controls are within easy reach to switch between wet and dry functions with very little bending. The parts are a snap to remove and clean easily after use. Thanks, Overstock, for this product and, as usual, your incomparable shipping rate!
