Handmade Tribal Ivory/ Gold Wool Rug (6' Square)

This rug looks very nice in my living room. I love the pattern. The "but" included in my review title above is regarding the shedding wool balls I have to pick up every day, sometimes a couple a times a day, off the rug surface. Just walking on the rug or moving my feet while seated on the sofa above the rug causes balls of shedded wool to form in the areas of activity. Someone, not a rug expert, told me that a really good quality handmade wool rug does not shed. I'm keeping it because it's very pretty but I'm annoyed with the shedding issue. I had another handmade wood rug (not purchased at Overstock) that shredded and it never stopped shedding. I would recommend this to a friend but I'd defintely let them know about the shedding problem.

Very satisfied with rug, looks and feels more expensive than it is. I have purchased five other rugs from overstock, almost all have been excellent.

Looked at every rug on overstock in the size range for 3 days before deciding on this one and I'm really glad I looked them over carefully. This wasn't what I thought I wanted but after receiving it, I'm very happy. The colors are not overly bright but subdued and there are enough different colors in it that it plays well with others. I was looking for the subdued gold tones and it picked those up beautifully but also has nice reds, blues, beiges and even some gray. I have this in my breakfast nook under the breakfast table which is walnut and that is a nice match as well. I think this rug would work very nicely in many different situations. I could see it under two chairs with a table.
