This is a beautiful carpet, but like the other reviewer I think its important to understand before you purchase it that it is MUCH lighter than it appears. Think of it as a white carpet. Also, and I was a bit disappointed with this, it does have some mauve in it, but it is of such high quality and really quite beautiful that I have decided I can live with a little mauve. I would highly recommend getting the Super Movenot rug pad. Best rug pad I�ve ever purchased and it really does make a world of difference.

The rug is very attractive, however, the colors shown on the screen are misleading. I thought the color would be a darker beige, but it is a very, very light beige. It is a very pretty rug however. Just be careful when ordering as rug color may not be as it seems on the computer.

First of all, this rug is a lot lighter than the picture. Like most people who've purchased rugs from Overstock, I was a bit apprehensive about buying one based off a picture. Looking back, I'm glad I did. The price was great, the rug shipped in a day, and arrived less than a week after I ordered it. It really is a nice-looking rug. My only complaint, which has been mentioned in other reviews, is that the rug sheds a bit. It's not a ridiculous amount, but it is noticeable. In my opinion, however, the rug is well worth the price.

The pile is thick and plush, the colors pop and the pattern is great. I couldn't have bought anything near the quality of this for the price Overstock offered!

This is a beautiful rug, however after a year or so it is still shedding. Also, it can not stand up to the occasional kitty-claw-massage, as the fibers come out easily and it doesn't rebound after vacuuming like some rugs do.

This is an absolutely beautiful rug. However, it has an odor that just will not go away. We had it in our bedroom and finally put it in an unused bedroom on the second floor. I could not recommend this rug for this reason alone. Too bad because it is lovely and such a shame that something so beautiful is hidden away because of the smell. Had I realized that the smell would not fade I would have sent it back to Overstock and ordered something else.

This area rug continues to shed after 5 months of use. I am very disappointed.

Overall, the rug was much lighter than expected. It is more cream than gold. Shedding has been moderate. It is very soft and thick.

We ordered the rug and within the week it was here. Wrapped to protect it very well. It is brighter than what the picture suggested, but we needed it with dark wood flooring and dark chestnut leather sofas and love seats. It really brightens up our great room. The rug has great hues of both dark and lighter sage green, some brown, dark red/ruby, and the design is beautiful.All of this is on a light beige/ivory back ground with a vine design running throughout. .It is heavy, so it will take 2 people to unroll and install it..Very little shedding, that is the good thing!..Another great purchase from OVERSTOCK.COM.....Thanks guys!

We previously purchased another wool/silk carpet from Overstock, and we're so pleased with it ,that when we redecorated our bedroom I went to Overstock again. Our daughter had purchased a similar carpet from a store in our area that specializes in oriental carpets. She paid over $3000.00 for a slightly larger rug. She couldn't believe the quality and price of ours. The colors are beautiful, the thick plush feels great on bare feet, and, of course, the price was perfect.

I like many buyers have mentioned, analyzed all of the reviews written by everyone before me. I wanted a rug that had a cream background, not like the picture shows. I was not disappointed. This rug is very nice, great quality, very plush. Note: this silk component is very minimal, just a few threads here and there. Regardless, it's still very soft and thick. Here's the deal on the colors...cream background with a tan/brown vine allover, lots of pale and medium dark green throughout (the leaves and some vines), with tan, beige, burgundy, white and green flowers. If your looking for something with green, but too much...you will like it. Oh yeah, it arrived pretty quickly, and its very heavy, two people are best to get it out of the package. I would recommend that overstock show pics of rugs in natural light or in a room as much as possible.

I couldn't be happier with this rug. It did shed in the beginning but after time it stopped. It is a thick, soft, elegant rug. The colors are vivid and looks great on my oak floors. Have had it for two years and wears beautifully.

As other reviewers have said, the rug is lighter than the picture. I received it today and my only complaints are that it looks slightly cartoony, and more brown tones than I expected... but still a nice rug. Here are the many colors it contains, as I see them. Primary color - ivory/cream; Secondary colors - mustardy sand color, olive green, and beige; Highlight colors - brick red, dusty rose, burnt orange, very dark navy blue, sage greenish taupe, slate gray, light gray, and medium brown.

We love the rug. It is beautiful at a great price. We haven't had a problem with shedding because it is in a room that is not often used. What I don't understand is why, with all the reviews stating that the colors in the picture are nothing like the actual colors, doesn't Overstock change the picture! The true color background is off-white as so many people have stated in their reviews. I would recommend this rug to anyone as long as they are happy with the true color.

I have never ordered a rug online before and was very nervous about doing it but after reviewing what other people said about the rug and now after receiving it, I'm so glad I decided to try Overstock.com. I ordered the rug on a Friday and received it the following Wednesday. The rug is very thick and soft. It's a very beautiful rug and looks much more expensive than what I paid for it. The background color is a true ivory like other reviewers have said but that only makes the other colors look more rich and defined. The other colors are a true olive, gold, and burgundy with just a little bit of mauve in it but when you look at the rug as a whole, you don't even notice the mauve in it at all. I'm very happy with this purchase and am already looking at other rugs to buy for other rooms in my house. I definitely think you can't beat Overstock.com for this type of purchase.

Ths is a nicely made rug- very thick and comfortable. The colors are brighter than those shown in the web site picture. The background of the rug is closer to white than the tan color as it appears on the site. Very nice rug, but not what I would call muted colors. If you want a rug to be more neutral, look for another- this one stands out. It is beautiful, but you'll need to choose your furniture carefully.

This is a soft, pretty rug. It is NOT the color in the photo. The background is a light cream (NOT a white as one reviewer described it and not a medium beige as shown in the photo). The pattern is not as subtle as the photos, likely because the background is cream not beige. The rug is an amazing value, and while it is not a $3,000 rug, it would be at least $1200 in an average store- but a lot more in a finer rug store. I recommend this rug as it is very nice. It arrived in less than 48 hours! Nice job Overstock.com

I ordered three of these rugs in different sizes to go over my new hardwood floors. They are exquisite!! They look beautiful with any dark wood floor (we have Mirbau) and are stunning. The quality is impressive and the feel under your feet is soft and rich. What a great price on these! I shopped around and nothing came close to the quality for this price. I've been telling everyone where I got my gorgeous rugs!! Great job AGAIN Overstock!!

When this rug arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at the value and the quality. After having the rug for a few weeks, I was browsing in a furniture store and looked at the rugs hanging on display. It made my day to know I had purchased this rug; for the price, there is no comparison.

it is not a three thousand dollar rug, but it is a great value and is beautiful...my wife LOVES it!
