Handmade Soho Burst Brown New Zealand Wool Rug (9'6 x 13'6)

I love this rug! I wanted something unique that would stand out from regular area rugs, and this certainly does that. The bursts of color are raised a bit from the brown wool part of the rug, which adds a whole new dimension to it. I was surprised at how soft and comfortable the rug is. I had seen this rug at other stores for much more, plus they had a longer wait time to deliver. I saved a ton and received the rug in 4 days. I'm very happy with my purchase!

The rug is beautiful, but after a month of vacuuming, it's slowly but surely falling apart. The starbursts are falling out by the handful and we cannot fix. At first we thought it was the loose threads, but it's actually because they are not attached, just threaded through. We tried to return to Overstock and our customer service rep was not very helpful. Telling us because we waited 2 months, they could not guarantee us we would receive full credit if any - even though the product is somewhat defective. It's pretty - but if you need something durable - don't buy, you'll be disappointed with the product and Overstock. First bad buy... too bad it was an expensive one.

This rug is gorgeous but it has serious drawbacks. It is even better in person that the pictures. I bought this rug last Christmas 2010. People raved about the design and the colors. The biggest problem with this carpet is that the sunbursts are different colored ribbons woven through the back side of the carpet. Through normal wear and tear I have lost so many of these ribbons that the design of the sunbrust is fading away. I don't think that the sunburst pattern will last more than another year and then I'll have to replace it. This is truly a shame because this rug is beautiful when brand new.

The area rug is beautiful by design and the colors are deep and vibriant. The only down side is that the description of the rug was that it was wool which I would think it would be the entire carpet . The color burst is made out of ribbon. So it feels a crunchy under the feet. but we got use to it. I am not sure how you would clean it if you needed to so I would not reccommend this if you have young children. Overall I am happy with it. I just think the decription should have been more specific with the materials in the product . 4 stars because it is good quality, and design but not 100% wool to deserve excellence.
