Ok. I am not even home that often to walk on it but it sheds brown wool pieces! As if the ties are coming undone but I haven't figured out from where. I have beige carpets so all around the rug the stuff is sitting there staring at me. I am thinking about returning it because it's not stopping!

Loved the way the rug looked, but the filament from the burst patterns came out with the beater brush. Ended up donating the rug.

PROs: Gorgeous rug. The starburst designs are actually made of ribbon and raised, giving the rug a very unique (and expensive) look. The colors of the ribbons really pop against the dark brown background and brighten up my living room. The thick pile feels lush underfoot and we even like laying on the rug. CONs: The shedding. As other reviewers pointed out, this rug is constantly fuzzing up and becomes covered with lint balls. While others have mentioned daily vacuuming, I have been able to get by with a lint brush (really!) and dimming the lights. But if you really, really like a lint-free rug, this isn't for you. Also, any piece of lint is spotlighted against the rich background.

I had seen this rug at Home Depot and loved it. Buying from Overstock, I saved about $100 due to lower price, free shipping and no sales tax. I am extremely pleased.

One year later, I am still in love with this rug. It is my most dear purchase. If you have pets or children, you will spend a LOT of time cleaning this rug. It must be vacuumed at least twice a day. The ribbons are gorgeous but I have lost a few of them. In spite of it all, the picture does not do the item any justice. Upon purchase, it will be love at first sight.

quality seems nice, but the brown wool fibers shed constantly and is quite messy. And the colored sun burst threads unravel really easy. I am not sure how long this carpet will last!

The rug pops in real life. Will zo well in my dining. Cannot comment on the shedding aspect because have not laid it out yet to use but worth the price paid for sure.

This is a 'statement' rug. It fits perfectly in the space I needed to cover and it fits perfectly with my decor. I love the bright colors, design and overall quality. The color bursts are made with satin ribbon and the small ribbons do pull out without much provocation. Regardless, I'm a huge fan of this rug.

Another fabulous product from Overstock! I am very pleased with these rugs - they were a surprise when I opened them up! The quality is far better than I expected, the colors are vibrant and rich, including the chocolate background color. I purchased runners to complete my bedroom and could not ask for better quality at this price. The backing is also well made, does shed a little, but I use my Oreck rechargeable (small) vacuum cleaner so that the "bursts" are not pulled at by a larger, heavier vacuum cleaner which could cause some of the "ribbons" to be pulled up. I am extremely pleased with this purchase, as I have been with all my purchases from Overstock. And there shipping and service are excellent! I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for something different from the ordinary rugs found in retail box stores. Absolutely stunning!

As other reviewers have stated, this rug is wonderful to look at but a bit hard to care for. The color bursts seem to be made with ribbons pulled into the wool and therefore some pull out from wear and tear or vacuuming. Just not sure how long it will be before I just have a brown 6x6 rug.

This rug lights up my living room. very minimal shedding. However one has to be creative with cleaning. The regular vacuum just does not do it and snags on the 'bursts'.

I really love this rug; it is a great value for the price. I got it to go under our dinning room table, and it fits perfectly. Even my husband was excited about this purchase. It does shed a bit, but I don't think it is different from other rugs I have owned. It is a beautiful rug, comfortable under one's feet, and great colors. I am so happy with my purchase. I recommend this rug very highly!

I was so pleased with this purchase that I even called some family over just to take a look at it. Needless to say, they all loved it. The colors are so vibrant, just like the picture. It even has a magnificent texture. The starburst are made with a raised thread. It really brought my room alive.

This is a good quality and dramatic rug. I ordered the 2x3 as a kitchen rug and immediately saw it was "too good" for the kitchen. I decided to add a dramatic touch to my living room instead, and ordered the 6x6. It's excellent value for the money and adds flair to our room.
