I was anxious about this, but ohhhh man
You know how hard it is to order something from the internet, especially something of the home decor variety. I spent many a sleepless night in anticipation of the rug's arrival. I even took off work when the tracker for UPS said the rug should be coming to my house. I have to say, overstock.com was true to their savings word when they summoned up this wonderful weave from the gods. I spent at least 3 months, almost everyday searching for the perfect addition to my ground level. Lo and behold I was blessed, and when I say blessed I mean like the holy scripture itself. Oh by the way if your bible's first page begins with the "heavens," you need to throw that mother out. Anyway, the texture on this rug is amazing, the stars seem to be bursting out of this rug universe, I slept on this rug three nights in a row because it felt like a million babies were holding me up. I have to agree with fellow reviewer when she said that she is worried about vacuuming the rug, I am afraid these twinkling bits of treasured texture is going to run, unlike the colors on the American flag. I recently purchased a fine toothed comb that I intend to use before watching Glee to scrape the tiny bits of filth from this beautiful floor piece. This rug will change your life, and I implore you to take the first step that will lead you towards pure pleasure!

very different from screen shot
This was very disappointing compared with the picture, not at all to my taste. It looks like other customers have liked its design, which is their personal preference, but it's hard to believe the rug in actuality arrived just as they imagined. The straw starbursts were unexpected and aesthetically unappealing. I returned the rug immediately and received a full credit, less about $15 for shipping. Buying it was a mistake.

- How accurate was the on site description of the product? From the look of the rug online, I thought the starburst pattern was part of the weave of the wool; to my surprise, the starburst elements were 3-D and as if made of straw, not at all attractive.

Good description
I'm not a frequent online shopper because I like to see and touch a product before buying it. I saw this rug and the online description was exactly what I was looking for so I took the plunge. I could not be happier with my purchase. It is an extremely well made rug, very plush. The color is an exact match too. Every time I have guests over they always compliment the rug..... I highly recommend it if you like the online description.

As advertised
I was hoping the rug background was truly the bright / blue many reviewers used to discribe the color. It is actually blue grey that at least 2 people mentioned in their reviews. The rug is what I would term a french blue grey accorging to the paint chips that litter my room that I have just finished redecorating. Size is a perfect 6 x 6 square. The blue or main part of the rug is wool and feels very luxurious. The price is incredible for the quality. The bursts are trextured in that fabric has been pulled through to give a 3D effect which is unique and eye catching but this part is not wool. If "shredded" material at different heights bothers you, do not buy this. So far I have only gotten compliments. Shipping and Delivery..Ah-May-Zing. Recieved it in 2 days...wow!! Based on this purchase, I would buy another rug from overstock without a second thought. Same rug at Home Depot site was $** more.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? fairly accurate but depends upon your screen settings - it is a blue / grey color, leaning more towards grey not the simple blue stated in the product info area

- How accurate was the on site description of the product? Color is blue grey (more towards the grey end than the blue) not staight up blue. Size is very accurate, it is 6 x 6 on the nose. The rug base is wool, the "bursts" are not wool but a man made material.

Better Than Pictured
I bought this rug because I desperately needed something to pull a room together and I didn't want to spend a fortune. I read the reviews on the Overstock site, and several commented that the rug was of better quality than they anticipated. Well, all of them are spot on! This rug looks much more expensive, and even my snobby dictator friends loved it. And did I mention the shipping? Less than two days after I ordered the rug, it arrived. In fact, I hadn't even had a chance to mention it to. Y husband when he was met in the front of the house by the UPS man with a rug. :-)
