Disappointed after 2 years...
Well, after searching for 3 years for the perfect rug for my space I found this one and fell in love with it. I ordered and received it just fine with no problems. The rug was gorgeous and I have received many compliments on it's uniqueness. It did shed quite a lot at first, and had the typical wool aroma. However, I would vacuum the rug frequently to help cut back on the shedding, and because I have a dog and children. The more I vacuumed the worse it looked. It is to the point now that I have just rolled up a $600 rug and put it away because it does't even look nice anymore. The ribbons that make up the bursts have frayed terribly and it looks horrible. The shedding did stop after about six months, but the ribbons continue to fray away to nothing. I have gone so far as to get down on my hands and knees and "trim" the frays with a scissors. It is beyond me why anyone would ever make a rug that for all practical purposed can NOT be vacuumed without being damaged. I am so disappointed, and rugless once again. Also after about a year the rug developed a "musty" aroma that I have not been able to get rid of. If you have a very low traffic area, don't mind the shedding, and never plan on vacuuming then I guess this is the rug for you. But I guess it just doesn't belong in the home of a mother of children and a dog.

When I received this area rug, I couldn't be happier. It looked beautiful and fit the room perfectly. While the rug had a lot of shedding, I didn't mind knowing eventually it would stop. I have the rug just about 8 months, and am miserable with it. While the rug looks clean and has held up, the SUNBURSTS have major 'bald' spots. Whenever I vacuum this rug, the longer sunburst yarns get caught in the vacuum or just start coming out. This is not a heavily walked on area rug, and I am disgusted with it. I contacted Overstock about doing an exchange because I just love the look, and because this area rug is 8 months old, they will not consider an exchange. I am deeply disappointed that they won't stand behind this product. My vacuum is set on the 'tallest' setting, it's very very frustrating. BEWARE if you purchase this area rug.

Fun rug
I was worried after I ordered this rug and especially after it arrived as it was big and bold. But after I placed it and people began to see the rug I relaxed. I've had the best compliments!! It has held together very well, I haven't really had any shedding even with using the vacuum cleaner on it. My cats also love the texture of the flower bursts.

Handmade Soho Beige Burst Wool Rug
Although the first rug sent was the wrong size (correct rug, wrong size), Overstock remedied the situation quickly. I did find it difficult to communicate easily with staff at Overstock, but ultimately they got the job done and quickly. My only concern now is how long they are taking to acknowledge receipt of the returned rug (UPS confirmed it's been received, but Overstock hasn't). Those are my issues. The rug itself is great and I am very pleased. It is very true to the picture and it is good quality. I haven't noticed much of the shedding of the rug that others have commented on. I would recommend this rug.

beautiful
This rug arrived and its beautiful!There is only one problem......it sheds. But I keep vaccuuming it in hopes that this will soon stop. It really is gorgeous. We get lots of compliments.

FANTASTIC Rug
This rug is very well made and beautiful to boot. The colors show up very similar to the picture, the off-white may be a bit more white than I was expecting. It looks gorgeous in my livingroom. The design really stands out but isn't over the top.
