Handmade Soho Beige Burst Wool Rug (5' x 8')

The rug was delivered on time, look exactly like what's on the picture. Thanks to other customers' review, this turned to be a very satisfied purchase. The rug is very unique, and pretty.

We bought the 5' x 8' after ordering a much smaller size for just inside our front door. The larger one is in the foyer just beyond the door, and it's nice to have the two rugs coordinate. The large rug replaced one that we loved, but it had darker tones and we wanted to brighten things up a bit. This rug has certainly done that! Makes a huge difference in the space.I was afraid the raised fibers might not do well when vacuumed -- which needs to be done frequently, since it's such a light color -- but they're sturdily attached and we've had no problems. All in all, one of our favorite Overstock purchases, and we've bought a lot from them over the years.

The rug is one of the most unique pieces of floor coverings I have seen. It is plush, well made and so unique it stands out, and finishes the room beautifully. Everyone having seen it has nothing but positive comments and the desire to know from where it was purchased, which I am keeping to myself. Thank goodness it was the last one in stock, I do not want any one else to have one like it. The product was shipped on time, wrapped and covered well, protecting it from dirt, and fraying.

This rug is very interesting, in a good way! Its soft and the "star bursts" are actually made of ribbons that have been sewn into the wool rug and stick up about 1/3 of an inch, sort of like shag. Very cool. An issue... I've vacuumed it once so far and a few of the ribbons started to unravel. I cut the lose threads and now they look fine, but I'm concerned about the longevity of the rug. I might try putting a little bit of glue on the ends of the ribbons to keep them from unraveling, but that will be quite a project as there are a lot of them!

I ordered this rug and was little worried about ordering it based only on the information visible on my computer screen...I ideally want to see things in person. I read the other reviews and went for it. The colors were exactly what I anticipated. The base color is lighter than the picture, but it is the color I expected in my mind. I was a little suprised that the starbusts are actually a raised woven in ribbon (confetti) type of thing, but if you look close at the picture (the room view) it shows it as such. The thing I like about the starbursts is that they have a bit of a shine to them which is the closest effect I can afford instead of silk threads that would catch the light. It is a sturdy carpet, comfortable to the feet, well made and I am absolutely happy with it! It is shedding a little, but if you have ever owned a wool carpet before, you know that is what they do until they are broken in over time.
