This rug is beautiful. All the wool and wool blend rugs will have some shedding, but it is not excessive and does not seem to harm the rug. My full power upright vacuum with a brush does pull threads from the rug, and I have had to use a canister without brushes to protect the rug. Just be forewarned that it will take some extra care.

The rug met and exceeded our expectations for quality and appearance. The workmanship if fantastic. You would pay significantly more for this rug in any local stores. We have purchased many rugs for different uses in our home. If you want a more utilitarian rug their 100% wool rugs are very good. If you want a rug for functional and aesthetic/decortive reason then the wool/silk blends like this one are your best bet. They cost slightly more, but will look and wear much better.
