I looked for a long time, through thousands of rugs, even bought another rug and returned it, trying to find the perfect rug. The rug in the picture appears to be predominantly a geometric pattern. In person, however, there is much more background and the pattern is cheerful flowers. It has several shades of greens, from a pale lime green to an olive green, and yellow shades from a light, sunshine yellow, to a golden color. It also has burgundy, medium purple, and several shades of blues, from sky blue to ceil blue.

• How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Colors are lighter in person. The background is not tan, it's an off-white, ivory color. Orange is not burnt orange, it's a medium peach color.
• Please tell us about the quality of the product. Quality is great. Looks much more expensive because the pattern is raised.

This rug is even better in person. When it's unrolled it looks less geometric than in the small picture on the computer screen (which was a bonus for me). While technically the proportions of color to off-white background on the picture look correct, when it's laid out it feels like an off-white rug with color on it. (Rather than flowers with some off-white between them as it looks in the picture. This was also a bonus for me!) It's the perfect combo of contemporary/cottage that I have been looking for. With two big dogs and two small kids we go through a lot of area rugs. This is by far my favorite that we've had! It looks and feels much more expensive than it actually was. I love it!

• How did the color on site compare with the actual product? The actual product was perhaps SLIGHTLY more subdued than on the sight, but that could just be my screen. Basically it was very comperable.
• Please tell us about the quality of the product. This feels like a high quality rug. I was not expecting it to feel so nice for the price. We go through area rugs like water in our house and I've spent much more on rugs that did not look or feel nearly as high quality as this one.

I was hoping like a couple of the other reviews said, that the cream would be lighter, but it wasnt - the cream on my monitor for the larger pic is exactly how the cream looks in person. But - its how i expected it to be based on the pic, so i wasnt surprised, Other than that, i love the rug!! The colors are very pretty, but muted so its not too bright. Also, with so many different colors in the rug there is a lot to pull from so you have a lot of choices when it comes to decorating. I LOVE the vintage feel to the rug - its fresh and clean looking, but the pattern says "grandmas quilt" to me - which i love!! The rug seems very well made and i am very happy with it. I havent started using the rug yet (waiting to paint my table) - but it seems easy to clean and like it will hold up.
