Handmade Paisley Suzanni Light Blue Wool Rug

I was looking for a rug that had gray, tan, and both light and dark blue, so I was really excited when I saw this. I love the suzanni pattern, it feels both fresh and traditional. The rug is very soft, thick and plush, I'm quite pleased with the quality. About the colors, because I feel like that is always a risk with rugs online: they seem pretty accurate to the picture. The grey is a little cooler than pictured, a slightly bluish gray, and there are various different blues in here, navy and ice blue, as well as gold. The gold is bright but not too loud, it goes well with my wood furniture and helps bring in a little warmth. The only thing that surprised me about this rug is that it is rather shiny. It has a lustre almost like a silk or viscose rug, even though it is wool. I think it's beautiful but unexpected. There is also a pretty strong new-car type smell to the rug that I hope wears off with time.
