Plush Winner
Carpet arrived quickly, and looks great on my parquet wood floors. Thick and lovely to walk on, I was hesitant when I bought it, but couldn't imagine not having bought it now. No noticeable shedding upon first vacuum. Understated, neutral tones go well with my garnet-colored couch and mauve/gold chairs and mahogany wood.

A Fabulous Find!
I'm so happy I finally ordered this rug after viewing it online for almost a year! I had read all the other customer reviews which helped me decide to take the plunge. The rug provides all that I wanted. It helps tie together my sage couch, leather chair and straw-colored chair. My walls are painted a warm gray and the rug, with it's ivory-taupe background, sage, blueish grays, tans, and rust-red, melds beautifully with my decor. My other furniture is espresso which offsets the rug nicely. The rug does shed fine wool fibers, more so than I had hoped, but for the price point I can live with the shedding and hopefully it will subside. We have 2 small dogs so I didn't want to spend a lot on a rug, and with this rug it looks like I spent a lot.

Gorgeous rug
I hesitated over buying a rug on-line as it's always tricky knowing exactly what the colours will look like. I am so glad that I finally took the plunge and bought this one. It's neutral, light with wonderful splashes of a russet red and sage green. The main body of the carpet is beige but the border is a lighter blue/grey. It's so neutral that it could go with so many different colour schemes, but it's definitely not bland. I have a burgundy couch/chairs in the family room and hope to change them soon for something lighter but this rug will still work. There is some shedding but it's just a quick vacuum and nothing that any other wool carpet wouldn't do. Can't recommend this highly enough. Would love the same in my living room and dining room - but that would look too matchy!

Fabulous
The rug just arrived and I am thrilled. I figured if there were so many positive reviews on this site, I would take my chance. I've never bought such a big purchase online. The rug is exactly what I was looking for - quality, color and feel. I'm not even sure that I need the pad I bought. The colors are muted, but prettier than the picture. the beige blends so well with the bluish gray, olive and maroon. As so many wrote here, it does not look like a $500 rug - I like it better than rugs I looked at that were in the $700 range.

I bought the Hand-spun Majesty Beige Wool Rug (8'3 x 11') and am very pleased. It shipped surprisingly fast and is nice quality. While the picture doesn't do the rug justice, you should know that the background color on the border is a difficult to describe but very faint blue/green/gray. It does nothing to detract from the overall perception of the rug as beige with reddish and green highlights and in some lights it is difficult to even tell that this blue/green/gray is even there. one could easily spend a lot more money for a rug of no higher quality.

majesty rug
Everytime you vacumn it the bag is FULL. Sheds ! Spreads fibers all over dark hardwood flooring, I thought it would stop but never has. Pass on this one. Not worth the money.

Beautiful Rug
Beautiful rug, very neutral muted colors, will go with most, beige, brown, ivory, gold, red (wine), green (sage) colorways. Sheds quite a bit at first but eases with time and wear. Great quality for the price.

I have this rug on a hardwood floor where it looks terrific as if it was born to live there. The colors are faded which makes it look older which I wanted. The green was a bit sparse, but the overall look is just what I wanted. It's feels terrific on my bare feel and I love walking on it. Vacuums nicely and is easy to keep clean.

I relied heavily on reviews before ordering a 2' x 3' size to check out the colors and pattern before ordering a larger rug. I had high hopes given the positive reviews, but quickly became disappointed when I unrolled the carpet. The colors are mostly muted and muddy, having an almost greenish hue that left me feeling sea sick. The colors were very blah, except for the red, which is darker than terra cotta, but not a true red. I found the red areas jumped out so much from the background that it was distracting, especially since the corners don't have any red, making it look like it was almost a mistake that red wasn't there and it left the rug looking unbalanced. The quality appears to be good and the rug is thin like many of its type are. I can't speak to shedding since I am not keeping the rug. Overall, I was very disappointed in the design and colors of the rug and do not consider it "brown/beige" as described. I was hoping this would be a great all around rug to get in more sizes. I'm returning my sample rug and will try others since Overstock does have very good prices.
