Prior to my purchase, I read previous product reviews and found them very helpful and accurate. This rug is beautiful and high quality. I chose to hang the rug on a wall for display. This meant securing it with special rug clips (sold elsewhere). It truly looks and feels wonderful. I chose this rug, in part, because it has 100% cotton backing and is 100% leather. I researched other rugs that had rubber backing, that reportedly smelled like used tires...NO THANKS! The natural leather has an aroma that is pleasant (to me) and not overpowering. I received the rug, from Overstock, within days of ordering. The $2.99 shipping made the value even greater since this rug is very heavy and shipping would have been costly with another seller. I would recommend this 100% - 5 stars! I love it!

As previous reviewers stated this does look like a pile of leaves. It is a great rug at a great price. The color is a bit darker than shown on the site with more dark brouns rather than a medium brown. I was hesitant to keep the rug at first but it quickly grew on me. Everyone who sees it thinks it is neat. I love it!

The rug I received appeared to be made out of used leather because many of the leather strips were soiled. Needless to say, I returned it.

I absolutely love this rug. It's a little darker than it appears in the picture, but I think that made me like it even more. It has different shades of brown, ranging from very dark chocolate, to a lighter taupe color. Again, most of it being the real dark brown. It's beautiful, and looks incredible on our dark hardwood floor. Couldn't be happier!

This rug is one of the finest deals i have seen on Overstock.. Looks like it cost 10x what I paid. Colors are perfect. Downside is the dog loves it so much he is pulling up alot of the leather strips! Probably not best if you have dogs but for the price why not!

This rug is the UGLIEST rug I have ever laid eyes on!!! It looks great on line. The description was intriguing"handmade leather rug" sounded great. When I layed it out in our hallway (we have hardwood floors) my husband said "Wow...looks like we are walking in the forest." AND IT LOOKS JUST LIKE THAT!! So, if you want your home to look like the outdoors and NOT as beautiful, here ya go. The individual leather pieces look like they were randomly shoved on with no thought to any detail or composition. They are smashed and not "fluffy" and nothing will help. You cannot vacuum this thing at all!! I ended up turning the thing over and using the underside. THAT actually looks pretty good as it is a woven side and it vacuums well. VERY DISAPPOINTED and too much of a hassle to wrap it back up and send it back. Don't buy this thing!!

I absolutely love this runner! My decorating style is basically "texture"... and man this rug fits exactly that style! It is soft and wonderful to walk on and gives the hall such warmth and style. The leather made my whole house smell brand new... ya know that new leather smell! Love Love Love this rug. And the price is amazing! This rug looks so expensive and is such a cool statement.

I love it - but it took me a few days to come around because of the smell. I hauled it to the garage and sprayed it liberally with Fabreze and after 3 days of airing out it practiacally has no smell at all. Now the organic textural quality is right at home in my log home, decorated with a contempory flair (style: Davey Crockett meets Buzz Lightyear!) Very sophisticated addition to the upstairs balcony. I think this rug would also warm up a sterile super contemporary loft area as well as look "down home" in a country setting or man-cave. The rug will definately hog the spot light as it draws the eye readily. Probably not for high traffic areas as it flattens a little, but fluffs up easily. The review that says the rug looks like a pile of leaves is right on. A glance at the rug and the brain interprets the visual as "there is a pile of fall leaves on my floor!" so plan accordingly. Cannot beat it for the price. Feels good on bare feet. The picture is very accurate, but you still don't get a real feel for the full texture affect until you see it.
