This is a gorgeous rug that is well made and very thick and plush to walk on. The background color is more of a rich burgandy insead of red as the title indicates. But , burgandy is the color that I actually wanted anyway and I was not disappointed at all. It looks so elegant in our master bedroom and ties in the other burgandy colors I have in there, so it was perfect for us. If you want something that is bright red, then this will probably not be the color for you. The other colors in this rug are sage and olive, with a touch of emerald green and brown, and accents of cream and several shades of gold and tan. It does shed some, but that gets better with use and I have found that to be true of all the wool rugs I have. Vaccuming once or twice a week keeps it to a minimum. I am very pleased with this beautiful rug and would recommend to anyone who wants a luxurious wool rug for a GREAT price! Thanks once again Overstock for a quality product at an incredible price.

Rug is really nice to look at and looks like a good quality rug for the price. The biggest downside to this rug is after 6 months of purchase it has white powdery sand underneath it coming from nowhere! (we don't wear shoes or allow people to wear shoes in the house) Tried beating the rug with a wooden rod, vaccuming it upside down as well but nothing worked! It is a great rug otherwise specially if you have little kids and want to use it in a living area where they play around a lot and if something happens to spill it won't be noticeable as it is dark in color. I tried looking online for solutions to get rid of the sand but there doesn't seem to be any! So if someone is looking for a great looking rug but doesn't mind any other material then synthetic rugs would be a great option and not wool! Because I do have synthetic runner from Overstock and that seems absolutely fine.

Excellent quality! Very thick rug. Some colors are little "durty",like for example.brown-it has a hint of gray in it. Other than that absolutely great.And the value -you can't argue with that !

The rug was not exactly the color I expected, but it works fine. I received it very quickly and have since purchase another rug that was great also.

This was my first purchase from Overstock.com. I am deffinitely impressed. This area rug is so beautiful. The description of the rug was perfect. It picks up all of the colors in my living room and pulls them together. We loved it so much that the day after we received it I went back online to Overstock.com to order the matching 8ft runner. It too is a lovely addition to my home and matches perfectly the first purchased area rug.

The value is outstanding, and the quality is appropriate. The problem is the same one I've had with all the rugs I've purchased at Overstock - the color is not as represented. I wanted the beautiful red and gold rug for the Christmas season - very eye-catching. The product is a dark burgundy and the gold color is dull. Not the look I wanted, but my family likes it so I'm keeping it. I also purchased the matching runner. The color doesn't match at all. I realize this can occur when you are dealing with natural materials, but the colors on the runner are so dull that you lose the pattern and it looks muddy. This one I am exchanging and hope for a closer match. The good news is that Overstock was extremely helpful with the exchange. I will definitely contuinue to shop with "O" knowing that they make things right.
