  • Good Quality

    nice thick heavy rug- but 2 warnings- the blue is a very bright blue (not a duller blue as i expected) and it does shed terribly... it's been a month and about 7 or 8 vacuuming times and it's still shedding. other than that i love it. and in the center where it is more blue than i was after, will be a coffee table anyway to help break it up.

  • BLUE!!

    This rug is very blue... The picture is misleading in that it is a vibrant blue rug. The quality is good, but although other reviewers mentioned the more intense color, I was surprised at how bright the blue was when it arrived.

  • Plush and nice

    When I first unrolled it, I thought it was perfect. But than I noticed that the blue in the center is a lot more brighter than the muted color blue in the picture. So be aware of that.. Not 100% sure if we are going to keep the rug only because of the color.. but the quality is very, very good!

  • Feels good

    When I ordered the product I was aware of the fact that the colors might be muted due to past experiences - and they are, but not as much as I had expected. The pattern shows beautifully and even though the border is less 'yellow-ish' and more 'camel', the contrasts work nicely. The blue is what I'd imagine for a 'heritage' blue: It is somewhere between a stormy sky blue and a 'worn' denim. Nice! The carpet has a soft, thick feel.

    • Please tell us about the quality of the product. The quality feels nice to naked feet. It's soft and thick and has a luxurious feel combined with a good look.

  • Beautiful and Great Quality

    The color is stronger and a little clearer than shown on the website, but not brighter. So the blue is a slightly greyed wedgewood blue, and a strong color, but not bright. The gold is definitely a strong gold, but not brash. The rug is vibrant and certainly holds it's own in a room without being overpowering. It adds warmth and color without dominating. It has a very comfortable and thick pile. Only slight shedding. I do use the rug pad with it and it's very comfortable to walk on.

    I love this rug. I was a little concerned about the reviews indicating that it was bright blue, dull blue, etc. However, mine was very true to the picture and looks great against a dark wood hardwood floor. It arrived sooner than expected and looks much more expensive than the price would indicate.

  • Rug review

    I ordered this rug and was so excited to receive it. However, we didn't even get the rug out of the packaging. We simply opened one end of the rug and could immediately see the rug color wasn't even close to what had been pictured online. The rug viewed a silvery blue but was a muted, blah gray-blue. There is a wide-specturm of "blue" tones. How about adding some specifics on tone instead of just labeling everything "blue". Now, I'm stuck sending the rug back to UPS for a whopping $60 bucks!!! It doesn't really feel like "free" shipping now!

  • A great buy--even my husband likes it!

    When I unrolled this rug, I could not believe the quality, color and condition. Absolutely everything I had hoped for, a perfect match to my new sofa. The style and color are adaptable to various decor schemes and accessories. For the price, this is one of the best purchases I have ever made. I bought my prior carpet 10 years ago, so wanted real quality. This rug replaced that one and I hope to have this one for the next 10. Can not say enough good things. And, the delivery was in 4 days!!! Overstock, you rock. Thanks for all you do.

  • Handmade Heritage Blue/Gold rug

    i was expecting a thin cheap area rug, instead I got a plush soft area rug, I love it and the colors are right on for my room, I love the rug and would highly recommend it to someone, the color are bolder in person, just lovely the blues is a bit deeper and the gold is more of a very light tan, I just love it.

    I have to say I was thrilled when my rug was delivered. It looks just perfect in my family room and the color blue matched the color scheme of the room perfectly! The other colors running through the design matched my accent pieces. I think anyone looking for this color scheme will love this rug in any room! I thought quality was wonderful along with the softness under your feet when walking on it.

Here is one method for cleaning Spills and Stains on a wool carpet found on the internet: In case of any spill, act quickly and blot it up with a clean cloth or paper towels. Then use a towel dampened with lukewarm water to remove the substance completely. You can replace water with a solution of three parts water and one part vinegar. This solution will not cause any damage to your carpet, but it will dilute the stain. Blot the area continuously with dry cloth and never leave any wet spot. Avoid rubbing or scrapping the carpet for stain removal. This can cause breaking down of the fibers. Over-wetting is also detrimental to your wool carpet. overstockcustomercare1 on Aug 17, 2012
