poor colors

I so hoped the rug would look like the photo. Instead the border is deep burgundy and the colors very muted, sort of muddy. I must return it and hope I don't have trouble. I will try and order something closer to the light er colors in the 2 rugs I did purchase which were fabulous! Very Very nice quality though!

Color of Rug

If you really like the colors of this rug, do not buy it because the rug is not at all like the photograph. How hard would it be for Overstock to take an accurate picture--and it's not about my computer monitor since other reviewers have said the same thing. In fact, if anyone purchased the rug and found it to match the picture, please let me know. The quality is good, but that's about it. I chatted with a rep at Overstock and asked if I could get a full refund even though I had opened the rug and unrolled it a bit. She said the warehouse would have to evaluate it--after pressing from me, she said if I returned the rug she would put a note on it saying I should get a full refund since it was my first purchase. And she would waive the shipping cost to return the rug. The rep did everything she could and was polite, but I still worry if I return the rug Overstock will not give me full credit. I finally decided to settle and use the rug in my dining room instead of the living room. I will get another rug for the living room, but not from Overstock.com. I can't trust Overstock. I hope you enjoy the $*** I spent--because it's the last money you'll see from me. It didnt have to be that way--take accurate pictures so you don't disappoint people.

Safavieh rug.Great buy. Colours:different!

The colours depicted on the website are very vibrant and soft. The real rug's colours are dark and muted. Orange in the border is burgundy. Gold is muted beige. Olive green is forest green. One must go to http://safavieh.com/rugs/collections (enter HERITAGE for collection + TRADITIONAL for style) to find the rug under Model No. HG111A , and get much better image of the rug and its real colours. I checked out one of the Safavieh's retail locations in NJ and found the same product for $495.00 + tax. Thus, this rug is a great buy at $$$.

How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Colours are different.

Please tell us about the quality of the product. Safavieh indian hand tufted rugs are good quality rugs.

How accurate was the on site description of the product? Somewhat.

Not a great choice

As others have commented, the colors on the rug are not at all like the photo. It's rather a murky mix of burgundy and olive brown. After reading the comments, I expected it to look different than the picture but it's really dull and muted - even more than I expected. In addition, the rug I received was soiled with dozens of blobs of what looks like dry wall compound. Like someone rolled a cart with dirty wheels over it. Overall I'm not very happy with this purchase.

Rug is no where close to the colors shown, however, it's muted colors blend well. You just get NO bright yellow anywhere in the rug! Plush, know that it's so thick doors won't open over it! Overall lovely rug, delivery was super fast!

Lovely Rug

I love this rug! Colors are deeper than pictured but I relied on other reviews and glad I took chance! Muted deep rust, greens in olive, sage. Looks fabulous on my new rustic pine floors!

Kerman Rug

The rug is not even close to the picture. Fortunately I relied on another reivew and they were right. The colors are much darker which works fine with my decor. I like the rug...and my husband likes it better than pictured. It is not burgundy...probably more of a dark rust. The green is dark and rich looking. For a high traffic area it won't show dirt or wear. The size is perfect for my area and 8' sq rugs are hard to find. I am very happy with my purchase and even happier with delivery which was fast and well packaged.
