love the rug!! colors are black and burgundy and taupe. i would have been surprised had i not read the other rviews first. they are pretty accurate. rug is nice quality and colors are what i wanted. definately NOT red and gold though.

I was expecting a red or cranberry red color. I was disappointed that the rug is a dark burgandy and colors are dark earthtones, Lots of brown. Good quality, good price, color is NOT as pictured. The description should say burgandy. I thought I ordered wrong rug when it arrived.

The rug is absolutely beautiful. The colors are as they appear in the picture. Delivery was quick and the rug laid down nicely. Great value. It looks very classy in our living room.

The rug is very thick and well made for the price. The dimensions are accurate and fill up my dining room well. The only problem was the color! Like almost all other reviews, the color is EXTREMELY off. My monitor had the rug appear red/wine colored. In actuality, the "red" part of the rug is almost a mahogany color. There are red fibers intertwined with brown ones that give it this color. A lot of olive in this rug as well. Sheds a lot as expected for a wool rug. The design is beautiful. I am satisfied with the rug although I had really wanted more of a burgundy/wine color. I didn't expect it to be THIS off. Again, a better description of the main color would be MAHOGANY. Hope this helps.

Love the looks and depth of the pile of this rug but I am concerned that it continues to shed fibers after a month or more.

This is a beautiful carpet and I would highly recommend it. The colors and pattern are very attractive and have the look of a very expensive carpet. As other reviewers have said, this rug is more burgundy than red. It'sburgundy, black, with touches of gold and light brown. It is beautiful. My combined kitchen/dining room has a sort of tuscan feel and this rug goes perfectly. It is nice and thick, and the colors are gorgeous. Love this rug so far.

Good buy, yes it sheds alot but still well worth it, buy the carpet pad.

The heritage Kashan rugs are magnificient. The rugs are a gorgeous warm burgundy, NOT wine, NOT red. The taupe against the burgundy gives the appearance of a camel gold and is lovely. The shipping was exactly as stated in the order confirmation and I am totally thrilled with the quality, color, construction and shipping. Don't hesitate, purchase the rugs.

This rug is beautiful, easily could have cost double the amount. Very thick, soft, the colors are rich. A real buy!

This is a very nice carpet - like others who have reviewed, there has been some shedding but looks like it is done now. The colors are as shown in the photo. I will say that the carpet at this size is incredibly heavy - don't know how the UPS man carried it. Once it is in place, we are very happy with it.

I received this rug in about a week - very good packaging, UPS just left it by the door and 2 of us were barely able to bring it inside - very heavy rug. The colors appear less bright then on the photo, the burgundy is dark wine color, there is no orange(gold?) color at all. And it still shed A LOT!!! But in general it is a good value for the price for a rug of this size.

This rug is thick and beautiful. The colors are rich and striking though not red but more deep burgundy. It anchors a room well. There is a lot of olive green and pink beige that I did not expect with the golds. As one expects with all wool rugs, it sheds fibers so one needs to vacuum regularly until this diminishes. They effect of this plush, rich carpet is well worth the money and the effort.

I bought this rug for a new home in July of this year. It arrived, weighing about 100 LB and it was reasonably easy to position in the living room floor. It had an unpleasant odor from the day it arrived. I assumed that the odor might get better over time. If anything it's become worse.But the major problem is the fact that it sheds. Not just a little bit!! It sheds so badly that after vacuuming it last weekend for probably the 12th to 15th time, I removed literally 4 LB of fibers from the collection chamber on the bagless vacuum. The fibers are now in every room of the house. I vacuumed it again about an hour ago and more of the same. It's so bad I'm too embarrassed to have guests over.I will move this rug to my garage and use it to park my car on (maybe). Either that or I will cut it into quarters and haul it out for heavy trash pickup. My strong advice would be....DO NOT BUY this rug!!!! I abosolutely threw away the money that I spent to purchase this defective product. Maybe you can avoid throwing away your money as well.

This rug is gorgeous. The colors are true to the photo online. The written description says it is red, but I would describe the red as more of a wine color. The other colors are as described. The carpet is thick and soft. Delivery was very rapid. I put this rug in my dining room and everyone who sees it comments on how beautiful it is.

We had been looking for an area rug for a while - even bringing samples home from various decorator stores -- which helped us narrow down what looked good in our room. The costs were hefty and I went on a search on the internet to see if there were any alternatives. Behold: Overstock! After reading all the reviews, we wondered 'could we cope with some color variation versus our expectation?'.... since we really only had throw cushions that could clash, we went ahead. The rug arrived in record time and looks great with our solid golden couch. I would say that the light colours are tan-ish and the red is more of a burgundy.... but, it really does look like what we saw on our screen. The rug looks fantastic in our room and we couldn't be happier. Thanks, Overstock!
