Handmade Heritage Blue/ Brown Wool Rug (12' x 18')

It was difficult to order a rug of this size without ever actually seeing it but I'm sooooo glad I did! The colors are just as pictured. The blue is a dusty turquoise grey type color that changes with the lighting and the brown boarder kind of changes from a bronze to a super deep chocolate. It literally goes with everything in my living room. It does shed but not more than any other wool rug I've purchased. In fact, mine shed less than I was expecting it to based on other user'd reviews. The rug arrived extremely quickly and in great condition. It was folded and I had to leave it like that for an extra day until I could get my husband to help me lay it out but all of the folds smoothed out a day later. Looking at it now you'd never know it had ever been creased. All in all I am extremely pleased and would highly recommend this to anyone considering it. It's beautiful and HUGE! I love it!

This rug is extremely heavy: 170lbs+ according to the FedEx man. The FedEx man told me that he almost refused to deliver it because Overstock claimed the rug weighed 150lbs (i.e., quite under), and products above 150lbs have a large surcharge & sometimes require two people to deliver. If my house had been on a hill of some sort, I would not have received the rug. Anyhow, I suggest that you have help when unrolling/unfolding it. Though I managed on my own, it was very difficult to maneuver. I have had the rug for several months now and aside from the first day, it has not shed. The pile is nice and plush. The colors, in my opinion, are a little bit darker than on the site. Another reviewer mentioned that when the rug was shipped, it was folded, and the crease had not disappeared. I found that to be true. Even though there is a couch on the rug, there is still a slightly raised area from the folding.

The rug was delivered to my home folded. I am trying to get the lumps and bumps out of this beautiful rug. I hope I do not have to return it. The color is beautiful. The quality seems great. But they should have had this rug rolled not folded.
